About this Cook
I try to be creative when I am cooking. I go through my kitchen each time I cook and try to decide what to make. I do a run down of the main items on hand and start making up a recipe in my head. It generally turns out decent to really good. I also like to refer to the "ingredients" section.
My favorite things to cook
Making a beautiful desert and setting up the presentation is the most fun. I like very colorful foods.

Savory Cheddar Zucchini Muffins
These were alright as I had to use frozen shredded zucchini. They were a bit bland until I used some butter and pancake syrup. It turned them almost into a sweet breakfast treat.

Chinese Pot Roast
We really enjoyed this meat dish. My husband says that because it was so good I didn't use a large enough cut of meat. I will do this again as it had a lot better flavor than just plain.

Peach Upside Down Cake I
We loved this cake. I made a few changes myself. I uped the recipe by 1/4 for the cake pan size I had to work with. I added 1 tsp of cinnamon to the brown sugar/nutmeg mixture. After I mixed the melted butter & brwn sgr mxtr, I added 1 1/2 tsp of granadine sauce by dropping a little in each area where the peachs would be (instead of marachino cherries). I added 1 tsp vanilla extract to egg/sugar mixture. I used whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose and used fat free milk. the wheat cake had a neat texture and yummy taste. Very tasty with vanilla ice cream melting on the side of the warm cake.
