Sweet Polish Sausage

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
Great way to make sausage! Even my very picky family of 5 all enjoyed this recipe, definitely a keeper. Made just like the recipe called for but added a can of chunck pinapple (will leave out next time!), the only part the family didn't like. Next time I'll stick to the original recipe. Served over rice with steamed peas on side, perfect meal...only problem was there wasn't enough.

Witches' Brew

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
I used this recipe just for the hand. It was rather messy and filled 2 hands; and took more than a couple days to freeze solid enought to remove the glove. I wasn't able to get it to stick out of the punch without weighing it down so I just let it float. It still turned out impressively for my daughter's party. Next time I think I'll just freeze red jello or juice, it'll be cheaper and I think it will give the same effect. Thanks for the great idea anyway!

One-Dish Chicken, Vegetable and Rice Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
my 10yo daugter wanted to make dinner so I gave her this recipe...she used a box of uncle ben's rice and picked out a bag of frozen veggies that she liked but otherwise followed recipe exactly. It was so easy to make she didn't even need help. It was a huge hit at dinner and everyone wanted more...next time we'll double or even triple the recipe!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
DELICIOUS, best rice pudding I've ever made! This by far beat my grandmother's oven recipe. I made this for my diabetic dad using 1/3 amount in Splenda, and doubled the recipe...he LOVED it and ate it all in 2 days (not sure that's good for a diabetic but he couldn't help himself!) Definite keeper!

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
Great recipe, I've made several times with rave reviews. Couple changes: cut pork into large chunks (saves using cleaver at end and hastens cook time), omit coffee, add liquid smoke, add garlic.

Campbell's® Easy Chicken and Cheese Enchiladas

They were okay. Maybe I did something wrong, but mine turned out really soggy. The recipe looks and sounds good, mine just didn't.

Peach Cobbler Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
So delicious I just ate 1/2 a mini loaf by myself! I followed some others' suggestions and upped the peaches to almost 2 cups chopped; substituted water with 1/3 cup oil and applesauce (1/2 each); added cinnamon and nutmeg and left out almond extract. Definitely a keeper...this bread is to-die-for!!!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Really good. My new potluck dish! I took others' suggestions and substituted 1/2 ricotta-1/2 sour cream with 1 egg and tossed with ziti; used spicy ground sausage sauteed with garlic and pasta sauce seasoned with extra salt, pepper, basil, and garlic & onion powders...then sprayed pan and foil cover with Pam...layered sauce, pasta/ricotta, sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, pasta/ricotta, sauce, mozz., parm., and layered top with provolone! very yummy!

Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce

followed recipe exactly, kept in frig 2 days before using. We didn't care for the flavor, prefer store bought sauce over this one...still looking for the perfect sauce.

Peanut Butter Frosting

Yum! Best part of my cake! Followed others' suggestions and used: 1 stick butter, 1cup Peanut Butter, 2 cups powdered sugar, and 5 Tbsp. heavy cream... still very thick, but creamy & delicious!

Chocolate Banana Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
I only used the banana cream recipe from here (adding 1 fresh, but soft banana) and it turned out delicious - even better after refrigerated overnight. I then put my own twist on this cake making it a tribute to Elvis, lol! I didn't have boxed cake mix, so I used a dark chocolate cake recipe (from AR) and frosted the side of the cake with a peaunut butter frosting (also from AR)... it turned out great and has now been requested by my 13 for his b-day cake.

Dark Chocolate Cake I

didn't have boxed mix so I needed a scratch recipe. This was good, better than box mix, but wasn't exceptional, would have liked a moister cake.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

first attempt tasted delicious but I made the mistake of rolling too thin. After the pizza was cooked I brushed the crust with a garlic basting oil, it smelled and tasted incredible!

Pumpkin Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
I'd give it 10 stars! This is the tastiest fudge ever! I did mess up by not cooking it long enough, I didn't have a thermometer so I ended up with pumpkin caramel... that didn't stop us from eating it all with a spoon though. Second time came out perfectly as I bought myself a candy thermometer... this is a keeper!

JELL-O® Chocolate Pudding Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
this didnt' taste like fudge, it had a dry almost crumbly consistency; I even used extreme pressure to compress it. Not too bad in flavor, but not what I was looking for in terms of fudge.
