Basic Biscuits

Great recipe. I halved it and made drop biscuits (no rolling pin). No problems at all. This will now be my standard biscuit recipe.

Roasted Winter Squash Seeds

This bread is amazing! I agree with the many others who say to increase the cardamom. I used 1 1/2 crushed seeds, fresh from the pod. Also, a note to bread novices, the dough maybe very sticky and wet during that first turn out of the bowl, but it will firm up as you knead more flour in.

Honey Wheat Sandwich Rolls

Fisherman's Quick Fish

Great recipe. As others have mentioned, if you fillet is too thick you will need to adjust the baking time. I used thick cuts of cod, but covered the top lightly with foil. I needed to bake it for 30 minutes and turned the temp. down to 425.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

I used one cup stone ground flour and 2 1/2 all purpose. The crust was still very crispy on the outside and chewy on the outside. It is very easily enough for two medium pizzas, or one very large pan pizza.

I don't buy the refrigerator biscuits, so I tried this recipe with a regular baking powder biscuit recipe. I simply placed unbaked biscuit on the bottom of the muffin pan, then added ground chuck with onion (we were out of BBQ, so I used a chili seasoning packet to flavor), then a layer of cheddar and monterey jack cheese. YUM!

Eggless Tofu Spinach Quiche

This was a great quiche filling. I forgot the onion, but it didn't hurt the flavor much. I made baking powder biscuits and made mini quiches in muffins tins. This recipe made enough filling for 18 mini muffins. I baked them for the full 30 minutes.

Quick Gnocchi

It was fast and we all cleared our plates. I only had flavored instant potatoes (cheddar and sour cream)and this added a great flavor. I noticed that the smaller pieces had a better texture, so be careful to get uniform size.

Low-Fat Blueberry Bran Muffins

I have no clue where I went wrong. Like many others my muffins are crispy on the outside with wet centers. The flavor is great, but the middle is not baked.

My husband made these. He followed the recipe, withholding the walnuts because he doesn't like them. These cookies are amazing. I just ate three straight from the oven and may go eat another one.

These turned out wonderful. I was a little nervous after all that work (as it was rising I read the negative reviews). I think those people did something wrong, because I followed the recipe to the letter and these waffles are awesome!

Pumpkin Flax Quickbread

Oatmeal Pancakes II

These were fluffy and the kids gobbled them up. I did not have buttermilk, so I used 1Tbl white vinegar and enough milk to make 3/4 cup. This substitution worked well.
