Salmon Chowder

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
I really did not like this recipe when made according to the recipe. Way too salty, thick and buttery. However, when I made it according to some of the reviewer recommendations it easily became a 5-star recipe. Nice and light, and the dill is delicious. Basically, I skipped the cheese, reduced the butter, and sprung for red sockeye canned salmon instead of pink. I'm sure fresh grilled salmon would make this even better, but if I'm gonna pay for fresh salmon, I'm not going to put it in a soup! Just my $0.02.

Salsa II

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
Good, fresh salsa recipe. Personally, I wish I hadn't followed the recommendations to cut down the jalepenos and seeds so much because it ended up not being very hot, but still good!

Tasty! Leftover glaze makes a good bbq dipping sauce.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
Good flavor, but way too cheesy and buttery. If I make it again I'll probably halve the butter/cheese, use a little less spinach and more chicken. This was basically spinach cheese casserole with some chicken pieces...I wanted more meat.

Quick Greek Pasta Salad with Steak

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
A good recipe, but way too oily. I made a large batch for leftovers and got sick of it quick for this reason. With half the oil/butter I think it'd be excellent.

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Simple and tasty! Used a little extra butter and garlic and mixed them together with the parsley before pouring over fish.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Delicious. I'm not usually a fan of fish dishes (except for grilled salmon), but this was superb without modifying the recipe.

Very good, easy chili recipe. Followed the recipe exactly, although I might add canned corn next time.

Drew's World Famous Triple Rush Hot Chocolate

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
Made a bunch of this and served it at a party and received many compliments. I wound up adding quite a bit of milk to taste, however, since the recipe makes very rich hot chocolate. People detected the cinnamon but were surprised to hear about the chili pepper! Good recipe, just expect to use about 1.5x the milk/water the recipe calls for unless you like drinking chocolate syrup.

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
Excellent. I put a little too much soy sauce on mine which made it a bit too salty, but now I know what to do next time. I used frozen peas and carrots.
