Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2012
I've made this twice now, for big groups of a friends to eat after a day of skiing. I added more spice but otherwise followed this recipe. It's a keeper.

Sweet and Spicy Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2010
Easy and pretty good, but not the best sweet potatoes... so this gets a 4.

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
Terrific recipe--fast, easy, and delicious. As others suggested doing, I used at least twice the amount of salt, Worcestershire, and garlic powder (didn't have garlic salt), and set the oven to 300. Will definitely make this again.

Morning Glory Muffins I

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
Delicious and moist muffins. I love pumpkin, so used pumpkin butter (found at a farmer's market) instead of apple butter. I also used a food processor for the apple and carrots, equal parts white and whole wheat flour, and doubled the walnuts on top.

Asian Beef Skewers

Delicious beef skewers! I made these for a small group of friends, and everyone loved them. I followed the recipe exactly, and definitely thought using good quality flank steak makes a big difference.

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2008
Awesome! Sooo juicy. I followed some tips--I stuffed the cavity with lemon in addition to onion, placed baby carrots around the bird, and poured a bit of chicken broth into the pan. Every 20 min to half hour I baste it. So easy!!

Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2008
I also doubled the marinade. Make sure you use low sodium soy sauce. Before baking the pork, I topped it with the chunks from the marinade, which gave the top a nice glaze. The pork was juicy, but I just wasn't crazy about the flavor.

Sauteed Curried Corn

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2008
This was OK, but not crazy about it. Best if mixed in with another curry dish and rice.

Excellent curry recipe, but it definitely needs some kind of veggie.

Mulligatawny Soup I

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2008
Excellent recipe! I used 2.5 tsps curry powder (still not *spicy* by my standards) and shredded the apple since my roommate doesn't like cooked fruit--she did not notice. I served this with frozen naan I got at Trader Joe's, which was pretty good for a frozen product.
