About this Cook
Well lets see. I am a forty(ish)year old female. (Hey I don't have to tell you everything)I live in the best city ever. (Of course this is my opinion)I have two kids; three if you include my husband. I cook to relax. I know that's an oxymoron.I like to try new things, and try to get all three of my kid(s) to eat right and stay fit.
My favorite things to cook
Mostly chicken and fish. I experiment with fusion cooking and certain things turn out really good and some things don't.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas is my favorite. That's when I pull out all the stops, and have a wonderful feast. To me that is my special present to everyone. After all the gifts are opened the smell from the kitchen always bring back fond childhood memories.To this day my mom is always in the kitchen, and I have to admit that I take after her in that way too.
My cooking triumphs
When I had to cook for many people around the holiday. My husband likes to invite friends over for the holiday's, and he forgot to tell me how many people were coming. Lucky I always cook for many more people than who is coming. On that day (It was Thanksgiving)I barely had enough. Everyone was stuffed and happy.
My cooking tragedies
I try to block out those memories!

Cranberry Sauce I
I made this right before Thanksgiving. I figured I try this and see if everyone noticed the difference. It was perfect! I did the suggestions and used 1/2 cup of brown and white sugar, fresh squeezed orange juice, 1 tsp of cinnamon. But added 1/4 cup of Cherry Port. It came out so good I'm using this for gifts this year.

Lamb Tagine
I made a leg of lamb and my family is not used to the flavor of the lamb. So when I used this recipe my family was just excited and didn't even know they were eating lamb! This one is a keeper.

Turkey Tetrazzini II
I followed the recipe however the taste was something left to be desired with my family. It tasted more of the flour than anything else. Will not make again.
