This is awesome even my picky kid ate it all w/o complaint! I used fresh grated ginger and white pepper instead of black due to personal preferences, but otherwise made as written.

Juicy Thanksgiving Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
I put it all together as indicated and stuck it in the fridge for 15 hrs to marinate. This same recipe indicated for a 15 lb bird worked for the 21lb turkey I used it on. I used Andre Cold Duck (champagne/burgundy). While it was cooking it smelled like italian bread was baking not turkey and made my husband think I was baking bread :). The turkey was delicious and so flavorful and moist (white and dark meat) even upon reheat of white/dark meat the next day! Definitely a keeper recipe that I intent to try for chicken and use next time for turkey. Thanks!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
This was DELICIOUS and easy! I made a homemade gingersnap crust and drizzled a little caramel sauce on top w/ crushed gingersnaps other than that I made the recipe as written. My company loved it and none left.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
I made these the other night according to recipe except for the cheese part. I used pizza blend cheese because it is a lot less expensive than romano. They are very good!

Hummus III

Reviewed: May 13, 2009
I made this as is for a large gathering of kids/adults for a Greek Theme night. I kind of thought people would be a little shy of it but they tried it, loved it and came back for seconds and thirds. It's a winner recipe and good for you.

Award Winning Peaches and Cream Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2009
I loved this recipe as did the people who tried it at a recent function. I received multiple requests for the recipe. I made the recipe as is except I doubled it and baked it in a 9x13 pan instead only because I didn't have a deep dish 10" pie pan. I'll definitely make again, no changes needed. It's easy!

This was easy and a real crowd pleaser. Everyone loved it. I did a mix of Kraft American/Cheddar mix and the Kraft 4 cheese. It was my favorite homemade Mac & Cheese to date.

Chocolate Bar Fondue

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2012
I made a half batch of this recipe and eliminated the water. I used half a bag of dark chocolate chips and 1/2 bag of semi sweet chips. Kids and adults enjoyed it and the chocolate coated various fruits, marshmallows and pretzels nicely. Great flavor! I put the excess in a glass dish and topped it with nuts and heath brittle and put it in the fridge. Once it cooled it was like a cross between a chocolate bar and fudge and every bit as delicious.

Russian Mushroom and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
This recipe was excellent with a few changes to make it a bit healthier. I used onions because I can't get leeks where I live. I increased the carrots, used reduced salt chicken broth, didn't add the extra salt, used milk instead of half/half and baby bella mushrooms instead of button ones. I got multiple requests for the recipe.

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2014
I made this for a large family event and those of us that like beans loved this dish. The only changes I made were to use white kidney beans in place of the garbanzo beans, eliminated the black pepper and cut the ketchup back to 1/4 cup based on personal preferences of mine. Great recipe, thanks!

Caramel Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
My kids and I loved this recipe. I did drizzle caramel ice cream topping over it when it came out of the oven, but other than that I stuck to the recipe. We liked it better cold than warm.

Pumpkin Cheese Bread II

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
I made this recipe for a large gathering this past week. I did change the oil by doing a mix of mostly applesauce and oil. Also, in the bread mix I did an even ratio of brown & white sugar instead of all white sugar. It is tought to spread the bread mix on top of the cream cheese layer, but in the end it sort of swirled and was pretty. You really have to watch how much dough you put in the pan before the cream cheese layer or you won't have enough to cover the cream cheese. It was a very moist, flavorful bread that is now one of my favorites. It didn't say whether to store this in the fridge or not, but cooked cream cheese or not it seemed like it should stay in the fridge so that's what I did. The bread was well liked.

Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2008
This recipe was just awesome! I served it at a large gathering and it was a hit both for how pretty it is and it's wonderful flavors. I did of course change some things so here is what I did. I used canola oil instead of vegetable oil. I also used about 3 different types of mixed lettuces, which added to the pretty factor and flavor. I used more pears and winesap(more tart & red) apples and treated them w/ lemon juice to prevent browning. I realize the dressing has lemon juice in it, but by the time it would have all gotten together I would have had browning apples & pears which is not appealing. Great Recipe and now one of my favorites!

Dawn's Candied Walnuts

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2008
I served these on top of the Butternut & Apple Harvest Soup recipe on this website. It was a good combo. People also loved to just eat them as they are. I got multiple requests for the recipe. A good example of an expensive product to buy already done made cheaper and did I mention it is easy to do yourself. It's also one of the few recipes that I made no changes to.
