Simple Japanese Steak and Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
You can cut back on the butter by using only 1/2 tablespoon of butter in between batches. Fewer batches also=less butter. You can also omit the last tablespoon of butter in the rice (although I like how the butter coats the veggies).

Southern Hollandaise Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
This is so yummy! It separated once but I added a splash of cold water and whisked really fast, just like one reviewer said to do. It saved the sauce!

This was so good! This was my first time cooking fish and it turned out great! Next time, I am going to make a butter sauce to go over it. Yummm :)

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
These were very good! The seeds were crunchy and just a little salty. I added a little more garlic salt and sauce than this recipe called for, and I also used butter instead of margarine (butter tastes better in my opinion). I will definitely make these next year!

Cinnasweet Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
This recipe was very good! The seeds had the perfect balance of sugar and cinnamon. I followed the recipe very closely, except I used butter instead of margarine and I baked the seeds at 275 in three 15 minute intervals. After the third time, I turned the oven up to 350 and baked for another thirty minutes, stirring every ten minutes. Once you turn the temperature up, you really have to keep checking on the seeds, otherwise they will burn (I almost burned mine, but caught them just in time)! Overall, this recipe is a very yummy halloween treat. I recommend it.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2008
This was wonderful. I had a fresh jalapeno in addition to the other ingredients, so I chopped that up and threw it in. The dip was tasty, but a little too spicy for my taste. It would have been perfect if I had just followed the recipe exactly. I will definitely make this the next time I have a party!

California Almond Butter Popcorn

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2008
The popcorn recipe is delicious, but very, very rich. My family and I loved it, but I have a little warning. If you eat too much of this snack, you could end up with a stomach ache! It is very easy to make and pretty tasty, however. I will definitely make it again.

Christie B's Fabulous Cherry Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2008
These cookies are yummy and very easy to make! This recipe is a great way to use up cherries. Just make sure to rinse the cherries well, or your batter will turn blue.

Christmas Morning Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2008
My family and I love this dish! It is delicious and very easy to make. For a less festive dish, I use orange or yellow bell peppers instead of the green bell peppers.
