Shrimp Fra Diavolo

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
i liked this a lot BUT and it's a big BUT after i tried it for the second time with some major modifications. the first time i made it it was sooo spicy and the flavors were right and then it lacked some in other departments. i modified with using only 2 cans of diced tomatoes, 7 cloves of garlic, 1/4 tsp of basil, 1/4 tsp of cayenne, 3/4 tsp pepper flakes (i can't believe this called for 2 tsps!), and i substituted the red wine for white. i also added about 1/4 tsp of brown sugar, then sprinkled some lemon juice over it once served. it was awesome!

Green Bean Casserole I

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
i used the 3/4 cup and it was way too watery. which is why i gave it 4 stars. next time i'll do about 1/4 cup. other than that, it was very good.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
this was awesome! i'll definitely be making it again soon. but i will either omit the teaspoon of salt or just add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce...cause it was a little too salty for my taste. i also added a little bit of sliced mushrooms to it which was a nice flare. instead of chopping the bell peppers; i sliced them and i also used 2 tablespoons of cornstarch to make the gravy a little thicker. a lot of people are saying to add bell peppers towards end if you like them crispy which is true. but i like mine mushy and added them in the beginning and they were great.

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
i really wanted to love this but felt it lacked something. it came out a tangy; almost bitter flavor. i did put some flax seed which was fine. next time i'll add some brown sugar and/or honey to give it a little bit of the missing sweetness it needed and see if it enhances not only the taste but rating.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
this is awesome! however, i made some changes. i add the family size can of mushroom cream as i don't like dry tuna casserole. i omit the sliced mushrooms, i add 1/4 teaspoon of salt and pepper. i didn't have potato chips handy so i added bread crumbs instead with a little bit of french's fried onion. it came out delicious! my husband loves it!
