Wonderful! Easy, delicious! Added a little garlic powder and onion salt but otherwise made as stated. Thank you Angela for a quick and easy recipe. My husband loved it!

Baking Powder Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
My first try at homemade biscuits and they were perfect! Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe. I didn't have the cream of tartar but I guess I didn't need it. We had them with beef stew. I will not be using store bought biscuits again.

Baked Fried Eggplant

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
Sorry - I gave it 1 star for "healthy" but I thought it was sooo bland - I guess I just like the fried version much, much better. My husband said "you don't have to make this again".

Ham Slice with Pineapple-Orange Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
easy and delicious - didn't have enough juice from pineapple (I was using up some from a previous recipe) so I added a little water and large spoon of apricot preserves to the sauce. I made scalloped potatoes, candied sweet potatoes and fresh asparagus with it.

Chicken Andouille Gumbo

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
Took this to a party and everyone asked for the recipe - didn't have any leftovers to take home. Will definitely make again and again. Will try to get file powder for next batch. I added one lb. of cooked, peeled shrimp at the end. I also cooked frozen okra (couldn't find fresh) in separate pot and drained before adding to the gumbo. The amount of spices added was perfect!

Bottom Round Roast with Onion Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
Excellent - my husband loved it and it tasted like the pot roasts my mom used to make. I also browned roast first and used Mrs. Dash herb seasoning and a little Worcester sauce. Also added chopped garlic with the onions. I can't believe you don't need to add any additional liquid during the 4 hr cooking but it turned out perfect - juicy and tasty. I steamed carrots and threw them in with the broth for about 15 minutes. Gravy was wonderful.
