Brown Rice
Great base recipe and nice flavor minus the Worcestershire sauce & soy sauce. The first time I cooked it I made it with all the ingredients and found it a tad spicy. I never had 2 hours or the patience to make rice so I'm rating this on the way I have made it; which is on the stove top. Directions: 1)Melt 2 Tbsps of butter over medium heat. Once melted, saute the rice until starting to brown 3-5 min; stirring frequently so that it won't burn. 2) Add the can of beef broth and can of french onion soup (omit Worcestershire, soy sauce and pepper), stir to combine, bring to a boil, lower heat to Low, cover and cook 20 min. Let stand for 10 min with lid on, fluff with a fork and serve.

Favorite Old Fashioned Gingerbread
This was a heavenly cake! I did follow the advice of other users and doubled the ginger and cinnamon, added 1/2 cup applesauce to make the cake extra moist, and checked it after 45 min to make sure it didn't burn. I won't ever use another recipe! This was the base for my Pumpkin Gingerbread Trifle-gingerbread cake, pumpkin custard and fresh whipped cream! YUM! I love the fall!

Cheddar-Thyme Flaky Biscuits
Really good biscuits. I had some fresh thyme that I needed to use and I found this recipe for Father's Day dinner. I did follow some of the advice from the other reviews. I didn't use cream of tartar and I used 3 Tbsps of thyme instead of 1. I also froze my butter for 15 min and then grated it on a box grater. It made it so much easier to incorporate.
