Bourbon-Mango Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2013
Delicious! I did decrease the bbq sauce as others mentioned...but I could have used a bit more actually...I love pulled pork with a lot of sauce. A great combo of sweet, smokey and spicy. Thanks for sharing!

Huli Huli Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2013
AMAZING. I grilled both chicken bone-in and boneless thighs - so tender and sweet. I saved some marinade to baste while grilling. A great summer recipe! Thanks!

Chimichurri Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2013
Love. I did listen to other reviewers and did half cilantro and half parsley. I used a Louisiana hot sauce and up'd the garlic. It is an amazing sauce. I served over flank steak with caramelized onions - perfection.

Margarita Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2013
A very simple marinade and grilled shrimp is one my favourite things to cook and eat! It is on the quite spicy side, which I love but just a heads up to others who want a more mild heat - cut back. Thanks for a recipe that allows me to have a shot of tequila with dinner. :)

Ex-Girlfriend's Mom's Salsa Fresca (Pico de Gallo)

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2013
First time I made pico de gallo- loved it! perfect ratios, the only thing I did different was use white onion because I love a strong onion flavour. Everyone loved it at our Canada Day party. :) Fresh, healthy and most importantly, delish!

Lemon-Dill Tuna Melt Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2013
Yay! First to review and you get 5 stars! I have never had a tuna melt before. Cheese and Tuna weirds me out...not anymore though. :) I think swiss is a perfect choice because it is a mild cheese...normally I don't really go for swiss because I love strong cheese - but with tuna this wouldn't work in my opinion. I added jalapenos for kick because that is me. It is a very tasty and easy recipe! Thanks for sharing!!

Southwestern Roasted Corn Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2013
A great way to kick off summer! I left out green pepper and cilantro because I am not a fan of either. I added in half a jalapeno, and some cumin, chili powder and red wine vinegar for more flavour. A great idea for picnics and bbq's. You can add black beans, you can fresh lettuce and even shredded chicken. :) Thanks!

Chicken Wing Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2013
This was an absolute hit. I used blue cheese dressing instead of ranch and a garlic cream cheese because that's just what I always have in my house. I used a crock pot the first time to keep it warm at a party. People were all over it. I made a lot, so I had leftovers, brought it home and froze it to serve at a smaller family event. Again, people could not stop eating it. Amazing! Thanks!

Spicy Vegan Potato Curry

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2013
This was amazing! I did add more potatoes and lessened cayenne to only 1/2 a tsp and added a diced jalapeno - so it probably equals the same spice level. It was sooooo good and filling. But beware people, you must love spicy food to love this. Also, if you are not vegan, you can add some sour cream on top to cool off the heat. My entire family loved it! It was very filling and is definitely a main dish that does not need a side. Thanks!!!

Barbequed Pineapple

Reviewed: May 30, 2013
I have to say I left out the ginger and cloves. I also have to say I have always hated cooked fruit. BUT I recently discovered a taste for pineapple and this is the very first recipe that I cooked with pineapple. Loved the smell...I could only imagine now what the cloves and ginger would add - but I was playing it safe. So so so good. Thanks for sharing!

Chicken Chimi in the Oven

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2013
I did take a fast track route and seasoned the chicken with taco seasoning and pan fried it...then shredded it. What I love about about this is how flavourful and filling this is and it is BAKED...not fried...so easy to make a healthy and flavourful dish. Thank you for that!

Greek Layer Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
Okay, so I did add another layer to this. I only did it because I had to use up an artichoke/asiago dip...so I layered that on top of the hummus. I also added a bit of red onions. My or my this tasted amazing. AND it will hold up if you seed the tomatoes and cucumbers. Love love love this as an alternative to plain ol' hummus and what I typically do: a Mexican dip. Thanks so much for this!

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2013
First time I ever made this. From the reviews of my guests, making sure it was completely dry before baking was the key to crispy kale. So good! I added chili pepper flakes. I love the simplicity, tastiness and healthiness of this dish!

Grilled Turkey Legs

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2012
I loved the crispiness from grilling these and the marinade was great...but for some reason my legs were dry. :( I feel like the time for boiling was too long. I know a lot of people love this so I will definitely try it again. Thanks!

Spicy Sweet Potato Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2012
I loved this! I only used sweet potatoes and increased the garlic because I am a garlic nut. I did what others did and used half and half mayo/sour cream. Love the curry flavour in this! Thanks!!!
