Rosenmunnar

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
The cookies taste great, but Im curious why no one else is having trouble with the dough like I am! I dont know if kneading is necessary but the dough comes out too crumbly to form into a ball. when i do get it into a ball it bakes out flat. I dont know if i am using to much butter or flour but whatever it is it isnt working for me. [Edit] There was too much butter. I cut out some and tried the recipe again and it worked out great! these are now some of my favorite cookies :)

Chocolate Mice

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
These were adorable. I liked them more for their aesthetic appearance rather than their taste. I am not really a truffle fan and thats what they turned out to be. They were so cute on my table and my guests loved them! thanks for the recipe!

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
These were pretty boring. I used my own pumpkin so that could have had something to do with it. It didnt taste much like pumpkin, just spice. i would suggest adding more fresh pumpkin to anyone who is using their own or just more in general. Also the amount of icing wasnt enough as you can see from the picture i posted. it made a nice pattern but it was because the icing ran out. I will continue to adjust this recipe as i see other people have gotten great success out of it. maybe it was just a bad batch

Gourmet Caramel Apples

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
These were gorgeous when they were finished. For some reason the amount of caramel did not cover the 5 apples very well and the amount of chocolate only covered 4 of them. Is there a trick to getting the perfect amount on the apples? and the boiling water bruised them. they were fine on the inside but it was an odd sight. next time ill just wash them well to get the wax off. I used white chocolate dyed orange for the drizzle on the outside and i liked that a lot. They looked great on my halloween table.

Chai Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
This was nice for a frosting. The chai was subtle enough that it wasn't overwhelming but i also only used a tablespoon of the chai water. The recipe itself is huge and i think the proportions were off a little bit for the thickness i wanted for my cookies. I cut the recipe in half because i didnt need that much but it was so watery i had to keep adding more sugar. I would suggest mixing everything else first and then adding the sugar until you get the consistency you want.

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
This was wonderful. Great success at my dinner. The only unfortunate part was that it was so popular there were no leftovers for me the next morning!

Candy Corn Bark

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
I loved this recipe. I will definitely make it year round without the candy corn. The halloween oreos were not in stores yet when I tried this the first time so I just grabbed some reduced fat ones which took a little guilt off me. It was very rich so the amount the recipe produced was great for my party of 10.
