Old Fashioned Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2014
I give this recipe 4 stars for one reason. After reading reviews, I just couldn't follow the recipe as written. I believe this recipe is excellent though! Like others, I added approx 1 tbsp cornstarch so that it'd help thicken the sauce. I used about 1 C sugar since my strawberries were pretty sweet and about a 1/3rd C flour, then just sprinkled in cinnamon (I'm not a huge cinnamon fan). Baking time was followed as stated, but for someone who hasn't made fruit pies before, one big tip is to put it in the fridge to chill. That is what actually makes the sauce set so it isnt runny. When I let it chill onthe counter for a couple hours it was still warm and very runny. The next morning, you can slice it amd it holds its shape so well! Thanks for sharing such a great recipe!

I love this recipe! I've made it a few times. The hardest part is trying to keep my dog away from it :)

Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2012
Amazing - we made shredded chicken in the crock pot starting in the morning. I added half a packet of chicken taco seasoning and enough beef broth to cover the chicken while it cooked. Other than that, I made the recipe to the "T" then garnished w/sour cream and tomatoes on top. Making it again next week!

Creamy Chicken Florentine

We used Italian cheese and herbs cooking cream, my store didn't have the garlic one. Recipe was pretty good. We added chopped tomatoes to the top for a little bit of fresh taste and used whole grain pasta.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake IV

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
Oh it is fantastic! I followed the recipe almost exact - i didn't have any cherries and my pineapples were just a 20oz chunked pineapples can. I used almost all of the pineapple juice in the can per other reviewers recommendations. I will make so many times!!!

No Roll Sugar Cookies

Wow! I was really impressed! These turned out excellent! I found 10 minutes was a little too long in my oven so 8-9 minutes was perfect. I made a cream cheese frosting to go with it and it helped keep them soft the next day even! Will be making these a lot!

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
I would rename it: Dairy Enchiladas. Way to much sauce, way to little chicken (I might have just not used enough, but I though I had it). It was very runny, not very enchilada-ie. Will not remake.

I make this a few times a year.. I now buy the bag of the little caramel pieces, they're tiny circles that melt sooo amazing and you don't have to unwrap anything!

Fudgy Chocolate Cream Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
Loved it! Super easy to make, and it was a big success. I made one small variation by using one semi sweet chocolate square and one un-sweetened. It turned out with a ever so slight coffee taste, which everyone seemed to like. It filled my pie dish almost all the way and before I chilled it, i put raspberry filling over it. 4 hrs later... YUM!

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
I made this with my boyfriend for my parents and it was a HUGE success!!! we needed to make extra so I used 2 lbs of ground beef; and doubled everything except the ketchup due to other reviews. I think it turned out perfect and will definitely make it for guests in the future!! I also sautéed mushrooms and let them simmer in the sauce over the patties for about the last 5 minutes of cooking. It was DELICIOUS!

Delicious! It's not spicy for the picky eaters, but full of flavor and goes great with a salad for something light!
