This was easy and cheap. It had a pleasant taste.

Old Fashioned Meat Loaf with Tangy Tomato Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2009
Yummy! This was really good meatloaf! It tasted great. I accidentally omitted the onions, but I didn't miss them. It doesn't make a whole ton which is good for my household.

Italian Peas

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2009
These were good and easy to make, but they weren't anything special. Great for when you need a quick side, though.

Crisp Apple and Sausage Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
I am giving this recipe a three because the dressing is very bitter. It had a really unpleasant taste and ruined a great salad. My husband had the salad without the dressing. He used bottled honey mustard and said this was one of the best salads he's had. If you make this skip the dressing. It ruins a great salad!

Alfredo Blue

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
This was pretty good. The sauce was not bleu cheese heavy. I ate with Buffalo chicken strips. They were a nice pair.

Spinach, Egg, and Pancetta with Linguine

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2009
I really liked this recipe. It was really salty because I salted the pasta. I don't think I'd do that again because the Pancetta was salty enough. I used four cups of spinach and half a box of pasta. I agree with others that a whole box would have been far too much. YUM.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
This gets five stars because easy does not always mean good. This is one of those cases where you can have the best of both worlds. It was easy to make. The taste was great. My husband said we should make it again next week and we never do that =).

Crowd Pleasing Vegetable Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
This sure does feed a crowd. It was huge. The casserole was ok. It didn't stand out as something that I would make again, but it wasn't terrible. This is one of those bland so-so recipes. Someone can most likely tweak this and make it pretty good. =)

Minnesota Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
I liked parts of this meal. The rice was cooked perfectly and tasted great. My husband asked if there was more rice. I did not like the pork chops. They were dry and bland. My husband even got out a bottle of BBQ sauce to "fix" them.

Oven Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
I like pot roast a lot. It makes me think of Sundays when I was a kid. This recipe was ok. I do think that the cooking time was a little long. We got it out about 30 minutes early and it was already a little tough. The gravy was tasty, but it isn't something I'd want to eat over and over. I don't think we'd make this one again.

Lemony Turkey Rice Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
I made this recipe after Thanksgiving with leftover turkey. I really liked it. I did reduce the amount of lemon juice because some family members do not like lemon. I will save this recipe for next year when I am overwhelmed with turkey!

Country Fried Steak and Milk Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
I made this for my husband because this is the type of food he likes. I've never been one for anything with gravy on it, but I really liked this. The gravy was very good and did not overpower the dish. I would make again, but only in moderation.

Outrageous Caesar Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
This was really good. It was time consuming, but the results were very tasty. I will say that the anchovy taste was a bit overpowering. The croutons were the best part! I could eat those all day =). Good salad!

We made these a million times over the holidays. They were great! I will save for next year.. Very smooth and tolerable for a person who is not in love with liquor drinks..

Beef Teriyaki

This was good. It was easy to make and had a decent flavor. I am sure with some tweaking it could be a five star recipe. I would make again on a time crunched evening!

Quick and Easy Vegetable Curry

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
I am a fan! This was really yummy and easy to make. My husband complimented it as well. I did add some hot chili sauce to it at the table because I like a little heat. Love the flavor of curry....
