BEST banana bread recipe EVER. when i use butter it comes out more breadlike (how it should be) and when i use canola oil and 2x the sour cream it comes out more cakelike. both ways are absolutely delicious.

Walnut Brownies

OMG YUM. i halved the recipe and ate the whole thing :x haha. my changes: i used 2 TBS unsweetened cocoa powder and 1 egg and omitted the walnuts and less flour. i baked it for 20 min. it actually came out more like fudge (which is what i like) gotta make more tomorrow!

Coconut Cream Pound Cake

I would give this 5 stars with this adjustment...in a food processor chop the (sweetened) coconut with 2TBS canola oil. the cake will come out really moist and stay moist for days on the counter. IMO it was not too sweet, blame my sweet tooth i guess?

Banana Banana Bread

i decided to try a different banana bread recipe---big mistake. this came out so dense and no i didn't over mix it, i followed the directions exactly. i'll stick with my favorite recipe on this site "Banana Sour Cream Bread" from now on.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

these did NOT cook at all. i followed the recipe exactly and baked at 375. i turned out with a "batter" but baked them anyways. i must have kept them in for an hour and theyre still mushy on the inside. oh well. maybe ill try again and double the bread crumbs.

Doughnut Muffins

yummy :) i loveeeee these! you know what these taste like? those little sugar donuts you get at the chinese buffet except with a little cinnamon. i used 1/2 cup canola oil instead of shortening, theyre sooo moist and fluffy

Nannie's Hot Milk Sponge Cake

A little too sweet for me, i would reduce the sugar.. maybe 1.5 cups or even just 1 cup. Other than that its really good. I added 1 TBS canola oil, it made it really moist, light & fluffy :)

i modified it like this: 2 tsp. instant coffee 1 tablespoon sugar 3 tablespoons hot water 6 fl oz. vanilla soy milk SOOOO good! its like something from sbux but cheaper

really good, except the icing is WAYYYY too sweet. i would reduce the cup of sugar to half a cup. like others, i used a full cup of baileys in the batter.

Whole-Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

i altered the recipe, but still came out delicious. i used all whole wheat flour. used a sugar substitute and added an extra quarter cup. omitted the nuts/chocolate chips. used applesauce instead of the margarine. added 1 tablespoon whipped butter. baked for 8-9 min. they came out like little cakes :) nothing like a cookie but yummy and practically no fat.
