Cranberry Orange Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2014
The flavors were good, but the texture is off. Also, as others wrote, it didn't really rise much.

Tomato Harvest Marinara Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2014
This came out well and was pretty straightforward. I used beefsteaka nd plum tomatoes (whatever the garden offered) and added a little wine and red pepper flakes, along with some fresh herbs from the garden - sage, basil, oregano and parsley. Next time, I would use more garlic.

Dad's Leftover Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2014
Super yummy! The seasoning is spot on and so is the consistency. We used the veggies we had on hand and did a bottom pie crust and a drop biscuit top. No leftovers of this one. Thanks for the recipe!

Quick Quiche

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2014
I would have eaten the entire thing if I didn't think it would kill me. I made a crust (super fast in the food processor) and added broccoli and some black pepper. Also changed the Swiss to cheddar. Divine.

Delicious Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2014
I didn't marinate this (didn't have time), but just brushed the sauce on before broiling. I thought the sauce was delicious!

I thought these were good, but not awesome. My kids would not eat them, sadly.

Spinach Basil Pesto

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2014
Well, this is fantastic. I like that it uses spinach instead of all basil (I don't have to decimate my basil plants to make it). Also, the lemon was genius. We had it on pizza and it was so good! We used almonds (untoasted) and loved it. Thanks for the recipe!

Italian Sausage Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2014
This was a very good recipe, hearty and filling. My only complaint is that the flavor was too understated for my taste. I feel like it needed some red pepper or something. Anyway, will definitely make it again.

Quiche Lorraine II

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2014
Great flavor! Texture was good, but still a little soft for my taste. Maybe less milk? Like others, I baked it for a full hour then cranked it up to 425 for 10 minutes to brown it a bit.

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2014
This was pretty good, but still needed....something. I put the carrots, celery, onions and garlic in the food processor then sauteed the lot in some butter. Threw the cubed chicken (raw) into the pot to cook in the stock and added a little garlic powder, sage and thyme to the spice list. We used alphabet pasta to make it more fun. Thanks for the recipe.

Apple, Cranberry, and Pear Crisp

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2014
I made this tonight because I had a bunch of aged pears to use up. I loved it -- with some changes. I used all pears (sliced, not cubed) and used fresh cranberries instead of dried. I pulsed the cranberries in the food processor a couple times and tossed them with the pears, and added some cinnamon and nutmeg. I omitted the lemon juice. As for the topping, I halved the butter, flour, brown sugar and oats. Also omitted the nuts (out of sheer laziness)and put a bit of cinnamon in for good measure. The result was fantastic - not too sweet - and the cranberry flavor really put it over the top. Thanks for the idea!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2014
I thought this was a pretty straightforward recipe. I used my food processor to cut the prep time on the veggies and to make pie crust. That being said, I thought the final product needed a speck more salt and pepper, but my family devoured it, praised it and requested the recipe.

Cranberry Pumpkin Muffins

These muffins didn't rise well for me, but the taste completely made up for it. The blend of flavors is delicious and the cranberry flavor really pops! Will definitely make these again.

Carrot-Sweet Potato Mash

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
This was my first sweet potato recipe....I think that next time, I will cut the sugar probably in half, I thought it was WAY too sweet. I also thought it was missing something, so I threw in 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, and that was just what it needed. I left out the raisins, too. All in all, it was pretty good and my hubby and two year old both ate it without protest.

Tuna, Noodles, Pickles and Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2008
I am always on the lookout for a really flavorful pasta salad, and I love pickles! I added 1/2 tsp. onion powder and 1/2 tsp. black pepper for a little more flavor. Also used grated cheese instead of cubes.
