Exchange Gang Pasta with Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
This recipe was so good! My boyfriend ended up licking his plate clean (well, basically haha). The sauce didn't "thicken" as much as expected but this is probably because I used much more mushrooms and tomatoes than called for. I thought about adding some flour to thicken the sauce up but it didn't really need it. I'm not sure what other reviewers are talking about when they say it requires a lot of prep time.I didn't think so. When cooking, everything should be chopped, diced, minced etc before you begin cooking. If you want to cut down the prep time, buy pre-sliced mushrooms, pre-minced garlic etc.

Sukhothai Pad Thai

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
This made a LOT of Pad Thai. It was good but the vinegar was a little much. It think it's unnecessary if you use the tamarind. I always thought you use vinegar if you didn't have tamarind. Other than that it was great. I did as others suggested and subbed fish sauce for soy sauce. I also used shrimp and tofu.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
This soup was delicious and so easy to make! Next time I will add more potatoes and more ham because I like a chunkier soup.

Thanks to this recipe, I crave brussels sprouts daily. I've made it so many times that now I just eyeball everything. You really can't go wrong.

Hamburger Hash

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
My most favorite way of eating this is with potatoes, celery and carrots added. I call it my comfort food. I could eat it all day! After browning the meat I don't drain it at all, I just add in the veggies, season with a little (not too much because it'll all condense down in the end) salt, pepper and a little Montreal Chicken seasoning, water to cover (usually ends up being about 2 cups) and two beef bouillon cubes. After 30 minutes I stir in some flour and serve it on top of rice. It's definitely nothing fancy but it's sooo good!

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
I was a little skeptical of how great this could really be because the ingredients didn't seem like anything special, but it turned out so moist and delicious! I asked by boyfriend to make this for me along with Bella's Rosemary Potatoes for dinner while I was at school. He used two pieces of chicken but didn't scale anything else down. He then placed them into a 5x9 Pyrex loaf pan and threw the potatoes right on top and placed it in the oven. Even though the bread crumbs didn't crisp up like it looks like everyone else's did, it turned out great. It was such a great meal.

Bella's Rosemary Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
I asked my boyfriend to make dinner for me while I was at school. He made these potatoes along with the Garlic Chicken recipe. He pan fried them first for a bit, then threw them right on top of two pieces of chicken in a 5x9 Pyrex loaf pan and popped it in the oven uncovered. It was a great dinner :)
