Baked Split Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2014
The chicken was tender, the smell was fabulous, and the taste was wonderful. I followed the recipe but used fresh rosemary (because it was what I had) and no basil (because I was out).

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2013
Simple and tasted great. I did add peas in addition to the carrots. The beef broth definitely helped to add to the flavor and it might not hurt to even add a few spices to boost it even more.

White Chocolate Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2012
I personally like more orange flavor so next time I will add extra (I did add 1tsp of extract in addition to the zest). I also used 1/2 butter flavored shortening 1/2 butter. I made 1/2 the batch with nuts and half without. Good both ways.

Premier Cheesecake Cranberry Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2012
These were much better the next day after being refrigerated. I will make them again but next time I will use less white chocolate and a bit more fruit.

Easy Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2012
I didn't have an oven bag so I used foil - it came out very moist. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly. Very moist with lots of flavor. My husband says it was a nice change of flavor.

Butter Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
This crust has a fantastic flavor and was tender yet firm. I used it for pasties and it held up very well. Followed the recipe exactly with no problems. I didn't have the time to let the dough stay in the refrigerator as long as was suggested but it was still easy to work with (left for about 30 mins).

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
This recipe will make your whole house smell like a great restaurant. Very good and super easy. I did make a small change after reading other reviews. I added approximately 3 tbsp of heavy cream, about 1 tsp of minced garlic (jar) and a bit of cornstarch just to thicken the sauce a little. I also removed my chicken and cooked the mushrooms then added the chicken back in. It was just easier for me. Thanks for posting!

Followed the recipe exactly with one small exception: I added 1 tsp of vanilla. Texture was great and flavor was wonderful.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
Very tasty cookie. The only issue I have is that the dough spreads a LOT when cooking. This isn't bad, just difficult to keep any shape to a cut out cookie. Also, you'll want to keep the dough in the fridge as much as possible. If you don't, it becomes very sticky and difficult to work with.

Double Chocolate Mocha Trifle

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
I think the mistake with the milk other reviewers referred to was that the recipe only shows the milk for one box of pudding: Double the milk and you're fine. I did use three boxes of pudding as others suggested. I would have liked the mocha to be a bit more strong but overall very tasty and a big hit.

Amazing Chicken

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
The chicken definitely stayed moist but it was a bit bland. I will probably try making it again in part because it was so easy to make. Next time I will definitely add some extra spices to liven things up.

Moist Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2011
This cake is very moist and tasty. If you're used to more of a crumbly topping type of cake though, this one probably won't give you exactly what you want without modification.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
Fantastic fudge. I took this to a party and it had rave reviews. Very creamy and super easy. I did take the other reviewers suggestions and used 2c brown sugar, 3c confectioners sugar, along with 1c peanut butter. I also used my stand mixer to blend the confectioners sugar.

Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
This was my first time making a pecan pie and I have to say, the recipe was super simple. Everyone that tried it said it was fantastic. It doesn't have a traditional pecan pie appearance. I added a few decorative whole pecans to the top before putting it in the oven. It definitely helped the overall appearance. I also found it a tiny bit runny. It was not as sickly sweet as the more traditional pie but that was a hit with those that tried it. Served with vanilla bean ice cream. Yummy.

Quick Black Forest Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2008
My husband said it wasn't quite as moist as he was used to my cakes being but found it tasty nonetheless. I did not find any moisture issues. I made it exactly as the recipe suggested. I did serve with a dollop of whipped cream as well. I will probably change the icing next time though to a ganache with a cherry garnish or my favorite chocolate frosting, again, with a cherry garnish.
