Adrienne's Tom Ka Gai

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2008
Really wanted this to be a hit since it's my boyfriends favorite, but unfortunately it wasn't. I'm a veg so I didn't try it, but he mentioned that it didn't taste like Tom Ka Gai.

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2009
Honestly, the best carrot cake I've ever had. It tastes like the carrot cake "cupcakes" from Trader Joes. YUM! I made it as listed and I also made it by omitting raisins and coconut and adding 1 additional cup of carrots. Perfect! Best the next day. Thanks for such a great recipe!!!!

Caramel Corn Snack Mix

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
SOOOO good! It's true... you can't stop eating it. The rice Chex cereal adds such a nice crunch to the mix. I've made this a few times now and it's great as-is. However, if you want to play with the recipe a bit I've found that Reese's peanut butter baking chips are an awesome addition!! YUM!

Lebanese-Style Red Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2009
YUMMY! As a veggie, I substituted vegetable broth for the chicken broth. I also listened to other reviewers and replaced black pepper for the cayenne. Top this soup with some feta... SO GOOD!!! :)

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2009
YUM! I followed the recipe exactly but as a vegetarian I replaced the Italian sausage and beef with soy-based vegetarian versions. Perfect!

Vicki's Hush Puppies

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
Yum! Followed recipe exactly as printed. It does make quite a bit, so if you're making for smaller family I would half it.

Apple Fritters

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
I made exactly as recipe suggested. They are not bad but I certainly wouldn't call them apple fritters. The orange really overpowers the apple. I will probably make again but eliminate the orange zest and will add 3x amount of apple, some cinnamon and top with sugar glaze.

Four Cheese Margherita Pizza

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
Yep, it's that good! I made as described except I bought fresh whole wheat dough at Whole Foods and baked it for 20 minutes before proceeding with this recipe. I think it would be just fine without the fontina though... but don't skip out on the feta. YUM! Thanks for an awesome pizza!

Quinoa Tabbouleh

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
This is really yummy! Four stars for me because I thought it called for a bit too much parsley for my taste. Otherwise, perfect!

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
This turned out fantastic! I used one loaf of fresh french bread at Whole Foods and it equaled 12 cups exactly. I toasted 1/2 cubes in the oven until they were lightly browned and "crunchy." I also used No-Chicken Broth in lieu of chicken broth. I did not need the full 4 cups of broth, instead only using about 3 and even that was maybe a 1/4 cup too much. Around 3 hours into cooking I removed the lid to allow some of the moisture to evaporate. Perfect!!!! Thanks for a yummy recipe!

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
Why fry? This is the best falafel I have ever had... husband agrees! I followed others advice and baked at 420 for 20 minutes, turned and continued baking for another 10 minutes. I didn't have any problems with crumbling using this method. I used fresh-toasted ciabatta bread for bread crumbs and I also used baking soda instead of powder. For the sauce I added garlic and used fat free plain Greek yogurt. SOOOO YUMMY!
