Famous Butter Chicken

Very good recipe. My picky husband commented on how moist the chicken was and called it a keeper. We are very much spice people, so I did add some Italian Seasoning and Onion Powder, but that was my only modification. Will definitely make again.

Bacon Mushroom Swiss Meatloaf

Good, good enough that my husband actually went back for seconds. We both felt that the meat lacked a little bit of flavor. Will probably make again, but add some spices for more flavor.

Russian Mushroom and Potato Soup

I made this exactly as the recipe was written except for adding the salt (I don't cook with much salt). I tasted the soup right before serving and the only thing missing was the salt, so I added the amount called for and it was perfect. I was concerned about the dill, but it was perfect and made this soup from good to excellent. I loved it, but my husband who is very picky only said it was okay but could not pin point anything in particular that he did not like. I will make again and my husband will just have to 'suffer'. This is a definite keeper.

Chicken Flautas

This was an easy recipe, but they were very bland. Others were right that you do need much more oil to soften the tortillas. If I make this again I will definitely use more spices on the chicken and possibly even grill the chicken to get more flavor.

I did not care for this, but my husband liked it alot. The only thing I did different from the recipe was add bread crumbs as others suggested, I would leave off if I ever tried again. Also, if I try again I will use portabellas because regular mushrooms are just too small.

Chicken Pot Pie III

This was good, but my husband did not go back for seconds. I followed others suggestions and sauteed some onion and celery and added to the mix, used a cup of frozen peas and carrots, and added a diced small potato. The onion made it kind of sweet, so won't add in the future. I will make as suggested, but use a frozen pea, carrot, potato mixture if I can find it. If not, will poach potatoes before adding to pie because they didn't cook even though I diced very small. ALSO...place pie pan on cookie sheet so if pie boils over it doesn't mess up your oven.

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

Great recipe, will make again. I made a couple of changes that made the rice even better. I marinated my chicken in soy sauce and garlic overnight, used a bit more soy sauce than was recommended, and added a cup of mixed peas and carrots.

Bodega Bay Cioppino

My husband is extremely picky, but he loves seafood. When I started making the dish he said he probably should not look at what I was putting in the pot because he was skeptical. His final opinion, fantastic. I made a couple of changes to the recipe: I added 1 can of chicken broth, 1 can of baby clams w/ their juice, and added some paprika and chili powder. We used snow crab, shrimp, mussels, and the canned clams, but everything else we kept the same. To cut down on mess peel and shell all seafood before putting in the wonderful sauce. Definitely have to have the bread to sop up the juices. Will definitely make this again!
