Sweet Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: May 8, 2009
This is always a huge hit at parties! I add a small amount of sugar to the strawberries while blending and pair this salsa with the cream cheese/ marshmallow fluff dip. Perfect!

Mile-High Apple Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
Delicious! I use a mix of baking apples rather than all golden delicious and since I never have potato starch on hand, I just use corn starch. This is the pie people ask for at every holiday!

Buffalo Chicken Wing Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
I really liked the flavor of this sauce. It's very close to what we get in local pubs, but it was way too runny. The first time I made only 1 small change to the recipe - I added a tsp of molasses to the sauce - but from now on I will be making a rue of the butter and 1-2 tbsp flour, then adding the remaining ingredients. This should help with the consistency and keep the butter from separating from the sauce.

Spicy Slow Cooker Mac-n-Cheese

Reviewed: May 3, 2009
This recipe was really easy and tasted great. I used turkey kielbasa and browned it first. Next time I will add the kielbasa with the cheese and sour cream as it kind of took over the flavor of the rest of the dish. Also, I found that using whole wheat pasta made it less mushy and added some nutrition!

Chocolate Chex® Caramel Crunch

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
I love this mix. It's always a huge hit at parties and everyone asks for the recipe. The first time I made it the store was out of chocolate chex, so I bought regular. This worked great! It was actually better than when I made it with chocolate because that was too sweet. I also leave out the white chocolate and throw in a couple cups of pretzels and peanuts. One other trick - let the mix cool completely on wax paper, then when cool, gather the mix in the wax paper and crunch. It's much less messy and you get perfect bite-sized pieces.

Chicken Noodle Casserole II

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
This is a great base, but I definitely made some changes. First, I use a full pound of chicken to and boil in chicken stock before cubing. Then I use the stock in place of milk. I also use 2 cans cream of chicken and leave off the cheese. I also found the cubed bread too fussy so I just sprinkle with Italian bread crumbs. This is a great recipe to make a double batch of. If you get a disposable casserole dish you can freeze it and have a ready-made casserole to just pop in the oven.

German Apple Pancake

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
I made this exactly as written except that I doubled the apple and accidentally left out the 1/4 cup sugar at the end, but I think it would have been too sweet with it. If you're using large eggs I suggest using 3 instead of 4 and I will be halving the butter in the pan and sauteeing the apples, just coating them in the butter and spice mixture to keep them a little firmer. I also have found in other recipes that it's a good idea to warm up milk slightly before mixing melted butter in. It was very yummy and my family loved it the first time, but I'll keep tweaking until it's perfect.

Scott's Buffalo Wing Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2013
I was looking for a cheaper way to get one of my favorite treats, but this sauce disappoints. I followed it exactly and it had a really strong ketchup taste and not a lot of buffalo. I did like that it's thicker than traditional buffalo sauce, but I don't think I'll make it again since it doesn't satisfy my buffalo wing craving.
