Waffles II

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
Great waffles! This was my first time making waffles - ever, and they came out perfect! Even on my cheap $7 Target brand waffle maker!! After the first batch came out so great, I made another batch to freeze. Now we can throw them in the toaster in the morning and go... WAY better than those store-bought frozen waffles.

It was awesome! The family really liked it, next time I'll have to double everything bc it went fast! I added honey, and cut pepper in half.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
Wow.. I was really disappointed in these! I thought they would be better than average with all the reviews.. but not so much. Good cookies, but not the best.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2009
This was good.. but it's far easier to by the big bars of chocolate almond bark and melt for 1 1/2 minutes and dip. I can usually find the big bags of almond bark for about $3 at the local grocery store.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: May 22, 2009
These were amazing. I used frozen blueberries that had thawed (by accident) and the juices in the bag turned my muffins blue and gave them an extra bit of sweetness!! I piled on the topping, the recipe made a lot and I didn't have any use for the leftovers.

This was pretty good! My husband is not the biggest fan of veggies and he said they "weren't bad". I liked them! I made them just as the recipe stated except per other users suggestions I sauteed them in olive oil.

Amazing Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
This was a great base for some really tastey chicken! I added 1/4 C garlic/tomato pasta sauce to light mayo, and added a spinkle of basil. I also friend this in 1/4 C vegitable oil. I also used chicken thighs, bc I needed to get rid of them. Turned out great! Will make again and again. ::::UPDATE:::::Okay, I made this a second time and it turned out even better! I added about 1/4 Cup Marzetti Ranch Dressing (mmm) to the mayo, and seasoned ground saltine crackers with garlic salt, italian seasonings, and pepper. I sprinkled the breaded chicken tenderloins with swiss cheese, and sprayed with butter cooking spray to give it some crunch. It was great! Served with rice and salad.

Ground Beef Wellington

My family loved this! Instead of the mushroom-soupy instructions, we used cream of celery soup. Other than that, followed recipe exactly but added some mozzarella cheese.

Lattice Chicken Potpie

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
My family loved this dish, I thought it was okay. I used mixed garden vegi out of a can and half a can of lima beans. Instead of pressing the crescents together, I just bought the crescent dough sheets that pillsbury makes, and it was much easier to work with. Needed pepper and some other seasonings.. play around with seasonings if you want.

Easy Homemade Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2008
Had to change quite a bit, added flour to thicken, did not use water or onions (fam doesn't like), and I added cumin and basically tripled the chili powder. this came out delicious after i tweaked it! i also used half the tomato sauce and added chili beans.
