About this Cook
I am a proud mother of 8. Even more proud of our 12 grand Children. Love to cook, bake and try new recipes.
My favorite things to cook
Almost anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Slow and easy. Lots of tender care and made with love.
My cooking triumphs
My most I would have to say is my 13 layer cake I make with very thin wafers I make myself. I think this one a few of my family members have asked me over and over to please make this again. While some always ask me for my version of my Italian Cheese Cake. I usually have to make 6 at a time and freeze them so I always hae them on hand.
My cooking tragedies
Alone in the kitchen and I whip up some mean recipes.

Stuffed Zucchini
You can use ground chuck, beef or half beef & pork. I prefere half and half in the meat to tell you the truth. Better flavor in my opinion.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs
This is a good recipe. There are different Italians as they come from different parts of Italy so things are made differently. With that in mind, I will add my two cents in on this recipe. First, I NEVER use sugar or Bay Leaf. I also use CRUSHED TOMATO using more GARLIC and more BASIL. With the meatballs I add 1/2 lb. GROUND PORK to the 1 lb. GROUND BEEF. I do not use the "cheap" meats ever. If one buys cheap, end results will be cheap. I bake my meatballs in the oven to cook them. Some people prefer meatballs on the side. Add Parmesan cheese to the meatballs also. Maybe 1/4 cup to above meat amounts. With that in mind, enjoy!

Molly's Chicken
This is so good. I too, used legs and thighs. I already had them out and ready to go for tonight's diner. It's just the two of us now so I had two legs and two thighs for this. The one thing I did change was the tomato sauce to crushed tomatos. I like the taste of tomato rather than juice. Most of my recipes I use crushed tomato. This was VERY good. My rule of thumb is first try a recipe exactly how it is writen. From there I can modify to our taste. This way I know how my family likes meals. I always give the person who took the time to write their recipe a try. Only seems fair. This is very good like I said. Will make this again. I will share this with others. Well worth at least once.
