Crescent Pizza Pockets

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
Thought these were very good and a good way to use up some crescents. Only thing was I didn't add enough sauce - so in the future I know to add more or heat some up to serve as a dip

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
These weren't quite as strong on the PB taste as I expected, but they were still delicious! I made them to take to our company christmas party and everyone raved about them. They will be going into the regular rotation, thanks for sharing :)

Cheddar Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2010
Quick, easy and taste awesome!! I made these to take to a Christmas party- they were the hit of the party- I was glad I doubled the recipe :) I wasn't sure what to use to make the approriate size biscuits, but I found that using a small cookie scoop heaping full was just perfect, the biscuits do puff up as they bake. I think I got about 20 out of a double batch

Hershey's ® 'Perfectly Chocolate' Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
This recipe turned out great for me. It was the first time I tried a cake from scratch and I was not dissapointed - I will continue to use it since hubby says its right up there with his grandmas chocolate cake. I made peanut butter icing instead of the chocolate icing

Canned Apple Pie Filling

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
Thanks for sharing this great recipe! I followed the recipe as written (except left out nutmeg) and did not have any troubles. I think my next batch I will add more cinnamon though- it seemed a little weak on spices, but I can always add more when I go to bake my pie or crisp. I also need to pack my jars fuller with apples- there was a lot of syrup compared to apples. I saved my apple peelings and cooked down to make apple jelly- no waste- yay!!

Strawberry Freezer Jam

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2010
I'm giving this 5 stars even though it is the same recipe that comes with the pectin. I've made two batches of the jam now and it turns out great. If you stray from the recipe as written, you risk the jam not setting up properly. It does seem like a lot of sugar, but I'm sure the store bought jam is even worse. Thanks for posting!

Monkey Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
This was very delicious and easy!! I prepared it the night before and kept in fridge since we were helping some friends move the next morning and wanted something that could bake without needing much attention. The only thing I did different was not add the syrup as we don't keep Maple Syrup in the house. I did pour the leftover butter and cinnamon mixture on top before baking and it was good! I made a confectioners sugar glaze to top the bread with and it was just like cinnamon rolls with a lot less work! This one was a keeper with hubby! Thanks for a great recipe

Cream Cheese Cookie Cups

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
Made these for hubby's birthday earlier this week- was looking for a special treat for him and this was it! He loves cream cheese in anything so it was right up his alley and real easy for me to make. We didn't think the icing was too sweet, but then it did cover 2+ dozen so must have used a lot less icing per cookie than others.. I did make mine with home made cookie dough. To make my life easier, I used a small cookie scoop and scooped the cookie dough into the muffin tin and just baked them the way they were (no shaping at all) then as soon as they came out of the oven, I pressed them with my Tart Shaper. This really made the process fast and easy! I highly recommend this recipe, thanks so much for sharing!! I now have a new tradition for hubbys birthday, I'm sure he will be asking for these a lot, But I will save them for special occasions...

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2010
Mine did not turn out the best, but I am thinking part of the problem might be my loaf pans/ oven, so I will try again in the future. Thanks for sharing!

Dump Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2010
We love dump cake! It is so simple and quick to make!! Our version came from a dear friend of ours: using 20 oz can of Peach Pie filling and 21 oz can of crushed Pineapple (don't drain). Dump them in bottom of 9 X 13 and stir. Then layer the cake mix on top, do not stir. Use 1 1/2 stik melted butter to drizzle evenly over top of cake. We don't like nuts so leave them out. Fantastic!! Try this, you will not be disappointed, our guests always love it! **Warning, is really sweet with 1 1/2 stick of butter.

Fruit Dip II

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
When I worked at a resturant, they would have catering jobs and serve this with the fruit platters, but would never give away "the secret recipe". I was so happy when I found this and it was the same as their secret!! This is always as a must have at get togethers. Thanks for sharing!!

Cream Cheese Jalapeno Hamburgers

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
We made these a night that we had company coming over, so it was risky.. We ended up being real happy with the results, the burgers were real tasty (not too spicy) and our company kept complimenting on how good they were!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
I have made this recipe twice now, however I do not keep corn syrup on hand, so I have substituted shortening and it worked just fine. I was like some of the other reviewers and had to add a tad more milk than the recipe called for. The first time, I spent over 1/2 hour trying to get the consistenancy correct, but the 2nd time it was much better! Thanks for sharing

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
This was the first time I made muffins from scratch, they were so easy to make and delicious!! I will never buy the box mix again. I did find that the topping made way too much, so the next time I will cut that in half. Thanks so much for this recipe!! **I changed my oven temp to 350 and that was perfect.** I have made these several times since the first and they always turn out so good and everyone likes them. Hubby doesn't like blueberries so often I will split the batter into two bowls and make half blueberry and the other half chocolate chip for him.

Creamy Beef Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
WOW!! This was a huge hit at my home! I made this last night and my 19 year old brother - who stays with my husband and me on Tuesday nights loved it. My husband said "Add this to our favorite recipes!!" There were a few slight changes to my version. I did not add the corn or the pimientos. (I served the corn as a side instead) When I got an onion out of my pantry, it had sprouted and was no good for eating...so, as I browned my meat, I added some onion and garlic powder. Once I transfered everything to the 9 X 13 dish I sprinkled on a little more garlic and onion. I also took my garlic press and crushed a beef bullion cube into the mixture for some added flavor. I did the bread crumbs and added some crackers for the topping - the next time I believe I will just use the crackers. The men, who love everything spicy, added some Texas Pete in their servings. (I'm thinking I could make the most awful thing in the world, the guys would put Texas Pete on it, and say that it was the best thing they ever tasted!) This is a keeper for us!

Bacon Cheeseburger Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2009
I am willing to try this again, some day way into the future. I am not sure what went wrong with this recipe for me, but it seemed as thought it was WAY too much rice or not near enough water. I was very disappointed with my results! I would rather eat a cheap box of Hamburger Helper than this.

Pumpkin Roll II

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
My roll did crack, but this was my first time making any sort of roll, so I will not blame that on the recipe yet. I took this too a Thanksgiving dinner at my in-laws last night, everyone loved it! I had always been afraid to try it, but this year I talked myself into it. Am I ever glad I did, it was not as intimidating as I always imagined it to be! Thanks for a great recipe!
