About this Cook
I've been married to the love of my life for about 2.5 years now; that is when I started to cook. At first I started out with easy pre-made things, but as I got more comfortable in the kitchen, I've changed to making as much from scratch as possible. I even planted a garden this year and have been learning to can my work :) There is no better feeling than knowing whats going into my food
My favorite things to cook
I love, love, love to bake pretty much any dessert. Its very rare for our kitchen to not have some kind of fresh cookies, cake, bread etc...
My favorite family cooking traditions
Hubby and I have been trying to start our own traditions- one is we have our familys over for a cookout for Fathers Day (the first time cooking for 20+ people was intimidating!). Another is we have my family over for Christmas Eve dinner
My cooking triumphs
Learning how to make a pumpkin roll
My cooking tragedies
hmmm..most of my attempts have been edible..oh I know- my first attempt at meat loaf was a complete failure, and I have not tried it again

Crescent Pizza Pockets
Thought these were very good and a good way to use up some crescents. Only thing was I didn't add enough sauce - so in the future I know to add more or heat some up to serve as a dip

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies
These weren't quite as strong on the PB taste as I expected, but they were still delicious! I made them to take to our company christmas party and everyone raved about them. They will be going into the regular rotation, thanks for sharing :)

Cheddar Biscuits
Quick, easy and taste awesome!! I made these to take to a Christmas party- they were the hit of the party- I was glad I doubled the recipe :) I wasn't sure what to use to make the approriate size biscuits, but I found that using a small cookie scoop heaping full was just perfect, the biscuits do puff up as they bake. I think I got about 20 out of a double batch
