Buttery Herb Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
Yummy! I used fresh mushrooms and omitted the egg. Doesn't sound like it needed it. It was lovely as is. I didn't have Italian Seasoning so I used Herbes de Provence and it was delicious. I served it with grilled chicken breast and coloured spaghetti. My boyfriend and daughter both gave it a ten and cleaned their plates!

Laura's Unbelievable Chicken and Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
Quite nice. Nothing amazing, though. I used canned tomatoes not cherry tomatoes, but I followed the rest of the recipe to a T. Think it was missing something, like garlic... Might try again and change it up a little.

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2009
This was absolutely fantastic! I've never made anything like this before, and it was so yummy. I used strawberries and they weren't too tart... next time I will use less sugar though, as so much is NOT good for you. Especially if you plan to make it often, like me! - I would cut back on the butter too, I used 4 tbs the first time and it was a bit too rich, the last time I used 3 tbs margarine and it was fine!

Ugh! These didn't cook properly in the middle, were too flat and burned on the top !

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2009
This was yummy! I didn't have any ginger, even after sending my boyfriend out to get some late at night. Store didn't have any! So I didn't make a garlic/ginger paste, so I made a garlic/onion paste which was lovely. I didn't have cardamon either, but I had all the rest of the spices. I followed what another reviewer had said and I put more cayenne than usual and it was nearly too hot for me! My daughter braved on, but didn't finish and my boyfriend said it was to die for! Great recipe.

Chicken Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2009
Wow, this was seriously yummy. I didn't make enough of it! I only used three little potatoes (as I am trying to not use too much food in one go) and I think I only put a cup full of frozen corn in because that's all I had... I also omitted the shallots because I didn't have any, but everything else went in! The taste was to die for! I added a little bit of instant mashed potato like someone else mentioned to thicken it slightly. My boyfriend and daughter gave it a 10! I considered adding diced carrot but I wasnt sure what it would turn out like, so I will do that next time. For those who say that they didn't know how much water/stock to put in, I almost covered the chicken carcass, then I added more stock until the pan was half full. Should have added more then it would have lasted longer! Oh well.....! I didn't use cream, just skim milk and that instant potato like someone else recommended.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
I followed this recipe almost to the letter, except I omitted the onions in the mashed potato. I used around three quarters of an onion in the beef and 1 clove of garlic because I adore it! I added slightly more water with the beef stock. The recipe called for 4 large potatoes, but I didn't have 4 large, only 1 large and 4 small. So I used those and it turned out perfectly with just enough potato to cover the dish. My boyfriend absolutely loved it and had 3 servings! The layer of carrots was a wonderful addition. Definitely a winner!
