Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2008
the recipe was delicious! I added 1 thing but followed everything else to the "T". I added chocolate. I melted 1/2 cup chocolate chips in a double broiler on low and then poured the chocolate on the crust before I put the coconut batter in, it come out fantastic. Be sure to either use a pasrty brush or spoon to evenly spread the chocolate on the crust, comes out like a thin laver of a chocolate and tastes similar to a mounds candy bar. yummm!

Poor Man's Pepper Steak

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
I made this for my family about two months ago. It was delicious and I only changed a few things. First, I added one chopped jalapeño and stir fried it when I cooked the onion. Second, it needed a little more flavor so I added 1 tsp of cumin. The last small change I made was to use 1 1/2 cup of water, and 1/2 cup of cream, then cook over the stove to have a quicker meal. It came out simply amazing.

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
these cookies are superb! had a ton of PB in my cabinets and wanted to do something tasty with it, so I made these. I added a few touches though, such as 1/2 cup of PB chips, used butter instead of shortning, and froze the dough fo a few hour before baking (only becuz i didnt have the time right then to bake them). made them alot bigger than the recipe says to but the were, buttery (not greasy), flaky, and perfectly sweet yet not overpowering. I have made them twice so far and will make them again for sure. thanx for posting!

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2013
I just finished making this and...YUMMMM!!! I followed most of the directions only changed a few things. I used 1/2 cup of melted butter and 1/2 cup of oil to cream with the sugar and only used 2 cups of sugar. Also made my own buttermilk with vinegar and milk. This cake has rave reviews from my husband and I as well as our neighbor whose house I baked it at (our oven isn't working right now). Super moist, the freezing sounded weird to me but the end result is DELICIOUS so dont question it, just do lol. The Baking time was longer than an hour but after reading the other reviews I expected that so I didn't time it just check it every so often and busied myself with other things. Will Make again with walnuts and chocolate chips!!! :) Thanks for sharing!

Nutmeg Feather Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
I made this cake for my sister in law's birthday, and it was DELICIOUS. I subbed nutmeg for cinnamon like other reviewers because of necessity, and made a caramel cinnamon glaze. I also used butter because that was all I had. This cake was moist but not crumbly, and definitely not too overwhelmingly spice-like. Will make again soon.

Gooey Butter Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2010
Had bought a Paula Dean Gooey Butter cake a few months ago and really enjoyed, so I wanted to recreate it...and this recipe came pretty darn CLOSE!!!! Was tasty, and had the perfect, light crunch and creamy texture. Added some pre-melted chocolate to the cake batter and put the cakes into two 8x8 pans. Made one kinda black and white and one was simply the original. Both were great!!!

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2012
This was a decent cake, not good but decent. A little dry and yet dense all at the same time...made no changes to the original recipe but perhaps I should have. Thanks anyway.

Chewy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2008
AMAZING! When I made these cookies everyone raved, I ate so many of them (probably shouldn't have) and they were just plain good. I did however make a few changes. I used 1 1/4 cup of coconut instead of 1 1/3cup. Also, I used 2/3cup of white chocolate chips and it came out so delicious. thanx for posting!

Original Nestle® Toll House® Chocolate Chip Pan Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2008
pretty usual cookie bar, nothing fantastic, or superb, but still tasty. Also, this just the nestle toll house cookie recipe, minus the walnuts, and put in a pan! (I know because that cookie recipe was the recipe I was raised on.) None the less, it is good for a quick, traditional snack :-).
