Beef Stroganoff III

I thought this tasted more like a beef stew. I had left overs that I added carrots & peas to. Not a bad recipe, just not a real stroganoff (in my opinion)

Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon with Port Wine Sauce

Excellent. I only had enough blue cheese for 1 steak and used goat for the other. My husband liked it with the blue but LOVED it with the goat cheese. Said the blue had too much of a bite with the sauce. The sauce was excellent. I didn't have garlic (used it up at lunch time) but was good without it. This is "a keeper."

Spicy Grilled Shrimp

I put all the ingredients in a mini food processor and it came out perfect. Thanks to my husband's perfect grilling technique (top rack, lid closed), this dish was the hit of our friend's BBQ. The shrimp was moist and had just the right amount of heat for everyone.

Cream Corn Like No Other

In a word...excellent! I don't know if anyone else mentioned this, but I used corn meal in place of flour. I never use raw flour. I'll make a roux first but was too lazy here. EXCELLENT. I have a new, unique side dish to bring to parties. THANKS

Simple White Cake

This cake was easy & perfect! I added the extra 1/4 cup milk people suggested. I also did 1 tsp or vanilla & 1 tsp almond, just to add a subtle change in flavor. Use a mixer if you have one. I will keep this as a "I need a cake at the last minute" recipe.

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

EXCELLENT - don't change a thing in this recipe! I made just under 2 dozen & baked at 350 (pure convection) for 10 minutes. These cookies just melt in your mouth :-)

Mild Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas

i tried this on company and there weren't any leftovers :-) i didn't follow the recipe to the "T" though...i probably tripled the amount of cheese and used the 4 cheese mix that i buy in the store. i also added a can of chiles for some extra flavor. the kids and adults gobbled it up.

Baked Apple Pudding

i didn't have the type of apples the recipe called for but this came out great. i made it 3 times already (i had to use up all the apples we had from a halloween party)....everyone loves this "cake" (not really a pudding).

Beet and Pear Puree

EXCELLENT! started cooking at 6:45am and glad i did...i doubled the recipe for a dinner party tonight and helped myself to some for breakfast - it is that good! i'm sure my company is going to devour it. i am thinking of toasting some walnuts to sprinkle on top to add another layer of both texture and flavor, however, if i don't get around to it, no big deal. it is great just the way it is. thanks for a great recipe.
