Grilled Asian Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
This was pretty good, but my sauce came out a little runny so it didn't stick to the chicken breasts very well. Didn't think this chicken was that great, kind of bland and salty. I will probably use another recipe if I want to attempt Asian chicken again.

Rosemary Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
I didn't use many of the ingredients as this recipe called for; I didn't use the vinegar, milk, or tomato sauce. I used a dash of worchestershire sauce, some ketchup, one egg, and some seasonings here and there. I made sure to keep an eye on it so it didn't get too dry and it came out great! We ate the loaf as hot meatloaf sandwiches with gravy and potatoes - sooo good! Will definitely make this again.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
Mmm! This turned out great. I used ground turkey instead of beef for the meatballs, and added a dash of worchestershire sauce. I browned the meatballs and then let them simmer in the sauce (BTW, I used storebought sauce) for about 45 minutes. Nice meatballs and great-tasting sauce! Super easy, too.

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
My first corned beef - it was excellent! The only thing was that I used the slow cooker and I think I cooked the beef a little too fast as it came out a little tougher than I had hoped. I didn't use the brown sugar; I used the seasoning that came with the brisket, some fresh ground black pepper, and 2 bay leaves. I also added some vegetables during the last 1.5 hours of cooking, and those didn't finish either...so the beef came out great, but a little tough, and vegetables needed to go longer...still loved it! Can't wait for next time.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
My dough came out too dense, but still tasted great! I think I will use about 1/2 cup less flour next time.

Delicious Grilled Hamburgers

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
Very good! I didn't use the liquid smoke or the olive oil. Instead, I used the worchestershire sauce, some fresh black pepper, a garlic-salt blend, and some Montreal Steak seasoning - came out great!

Pizza Crust I

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
This was my second attempt at homemade pizza crust and it was successful! The first time I had made the crust with no yeast, and this time I did. It came out great, nice dense crust. I will season the crust a little more next time, as I thought it was kind of bland.

Crazy Crust Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
Pretty good! As others have said, it is not the pizza crust you'd expect as it is baked without yeast. But for my first homemade pizza crust it was great! I used about a 1/4-1/2 cup more flour and used less milk, about a half cup. Also, I used italian seasoning instead of oregano, and added a little garlic and onion powder to the dough. I also added a small amount of baking powder. It got pretty sticky so I had to use a lot of flour for kneading and rolling. Lots of fun, I will make pizza dough again, probably with yeast though if I have the time.

Hot Fudge Pudding Cake III

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
mmm! this was sooo easy to make and came out perfect! i followed suggestions and added 1 tsp. of vanilla and reduced the amount of water...but i reduced the water too much (to one cup) and the pudding came out a bit thick, so next time I will probably use 1 1/3 cups. served with vanilla ice cream and it was really really good!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
These were so easy! I added extra vanilla and sugar, as other reviews suggested. Make sure to roll the dough thin because they will really puff up! This was my first time making sugar cookies and I think I will continue to use this recipe in the future.

Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
Great! I'll probably give these five stars next time I make these...my first attempt made me realize I needed to tweak the recipe a little more. As for this time, I added a little bit of garlic powder, and used a garlicky-salted blend seasoning I bought from a local spice maker. I also added a little bit of onion powder and a TAD of seasoning salt. I think it may need even more garlic and salt. I want to try them with Old Bay, too. But they turned out great! I will make these again -- they are so easy!

Mexican Baked Fish

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
Didn't really like this, but I think I should have used chunkier salsa. A couple things went wrong with the way I made it, I think, and it just didn't come out as I had imagined.

Grilled Cabbage I

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
I love this! I spread a little bit of olive oil instead of the butter, and since I make one wedge at a time for myself, I don't need the ice cube. It still comes out great and I've made this many times since trying it the first time!
