Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2012
Followed the tips in the reviews and made this fudge for my "fudge loving" Father-in-law for his Birthday. EXCELLENT fudge--he told me that he recently tasted some fudge that tasted exactly the same, only that fudge cost the buyer a pretty $50 for the same amount this recipe makes. :) Would definitely recommend this recipe!

Cream of Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2011
I rate 5 stars but I did do it quite differently... I didn't use butter--boiled the onion in water mixed with salted chicken broth and two chopped potatoes. Once cooked, I blended this (in portions) and returned it to the pot. Next, I blended the pumpkin with 2% milk and added it to the pot with the blended onion/potatoes. Added cinnamon, ginger, ground black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, and a few shakes of cloves & nutmeg...and salt to taste. (I didn't need to add salt because it was in the chicken broth) Delicious. :)

Manicotti Shells

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2010
These are really good!! I buttered them and sprinkled brown sugar and cinnamon for a snack and also ate them like burritos with chile and it was delicious both ways. I have a smaller frying pan and it yielded 16 shells.

Maple Hot Chocolate

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2010
mmmmm....perfect! My husband loved it and he never likes milk-based hot chocolate. :) I put almost half the sugar, vanilla and maple extract in and use half the marshmallows to make it perfect for our tastes.

Grandma Jeanette's Amazing German Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2010
I've had delicious red cabbage in Germany and this recipe topped it. :) I loved and so did our guests. My husband was not as much of a fan, but I can't get cabbage into him no matter what I do to it and he still ate it. ;)

Guacamole

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
This guacamole is AMAZING!!! All of my guests LOVE LOVE LOVED it! I substitute coriander for cilantro and use a little less lime juice (concentrate instead of fresh lime.) Thanks for sharing this great recipe!

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2008
I used half whole wheat flour and they still turned out great! I brushed egg on the top and added sesame seeds to give them the authentic look. ;) Next time I will put the oven on a lower temperature and leave them in a little longer as the buns burned on the bottom but seemed barely baked on the top.
