Michael's Foccacia Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2008
This was wonderful. Very easy to make and turned out perfectly. I topped mine with Olive oil, kosher salt, sliced green stuffed olives, tomatoes from the farmer's maarket (sliced thinly) and freshly grated parmesan cheese. My neighbor came over as it was baking and loved it so much that I finished up giving her half of it. She was in heaven. Thanks for posting.

Roast Goose with Port Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
This was unbelievably good. The sauce really made the dish. This was my first time cooking a goose and everyone kept telling me that it would be very greasy. It wasn't, it was delicious. Thank you.

Cheese-Garlic Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
These were really delicious. I did as suggested by other reviewers and added more cheese. I did find that I had to cook them considerably longer than the recipe suggested (by about 5 minutes) but no big deal. Could have been my oven

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
Made this tonight. I was really looking forward to this and as other reviewers had discussed I added spices because they said it was bland. Unfortunately it was still fairly bland and I didn't like the texture of the coating. Was kind of crispy but not what I am used to. My DH felt the same way and he has been trying to get me to use saltines on chicken for years. Probably will not make make this again.

Easy Pizza Sauce III

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
This was delicious. I made it just as the recipe stated except that I cooked it for an hour or so on top of the stove. I thought that this might cut the acid some. It was really great. Thank you.

Valentino's Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
Made this as the recipe stated but had enough time to let it rise and develop more flavor. This is a great pizza crust that will become my go to recipe. I checked the oven about 5 minutes before it should have been cooked and wow. The dough had risen so high that I thought I might lose the toppings. Great recipe. Thank you.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
Yum. This was really good. I had to cut out one of the cans of rotel tomatoes just because my dh cannot take too much spice. I just subbed a can of fire roasted tomatoes. Will definitely make this again. Thanks for posting.

Cheese and Bacon Potato Rounds

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
Sorry just did not work for us. My dh didn't care for them either. Kind of blah. Definitely could use some kind of seasoning. Don't think that I will try them again.

Jalapeno Poppers of Champions

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
Loved This. Was a big hit over Easter. Changed a couple of things due to other reviewers suggestions. I mixed some parmesan with the cream cheese and laid a piece of bacon on top of the jalapeno's. I baked at 400 for 25 minutes and then broiled until crispy. Yummy

Easy Chocolate Bundt Cake Glaze

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
I am not a cake baker but made this recipe to top cupcakes for my SIL. Hubby gave it 5 stars right off the bat. Said it was yummy. Needless to say as I don't bake, this recipe was kind of like "frosting for dummies" very easy. Thank you for posting and making my life soooo much easier

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
Followed the recipe exactly. Thought this was very bland and had an off beer taste. The meat, rather than being sliced like a French Dip, fell apart like a pot roast, so I had to just pile it on the bread. I did manage to rescue the au jus somewhat by adding some salt and pepper and some tomato paste. Thanks for posting the recipe.

Baking Powder Biscuits

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
These were the best biscuits that I have ever made and I have made quite a few. They were light and airy. Very easy to make. I did follow some other reviewers suggestions and left out the sugar (I don't care for sweet things). I also used half butter and half lard for the shortening to give the biscuits more flavor. I usually won't eat more than half a biscuit because they fill me up. Tonight I left my soup just so that I could eat a whole biscuit. Yummy
