As AllStars Brand Ambassadors, we are lucky enough to be asked to try out different products and give our opinions on them.  This month it is Al Fresco Chicken Sausage.  And Oh boy does that make me happy.  When we were first asked to try these products back in April, I was very sceptical as I could not envision how chicken sausage could take the place of pork.  I was proved very wrong and I am happy to say that we have been converted.  We use this product regularly in our house now.  I just wish that we could get the full product line, not just a few of the sausage flavors.  Here is what I made with the sausages this time around.

This is  the Garlic Chicken Sausage Vegetable Saute.  We really liked this except that we thought it would have benefited greatly from having a sauce.  I did have some left over spaghetti sauce in the fridge so I heated that up and for us, it seemed to improve the dish.

The second dish that I made was this

This is the Roasted Garlic Chicken Caesar Salad.  YUMMMM.  This was a great recipe and turning my favorite salad into a dinner meal by adding this sausage is a great idea.

I for one can't wait until we get some different flavors of this product in our stores.  Try it I think that you will like it.

Thanks ladies you are very kind. Robin, I looked on their facebook site to get the info but I couldn't find it. I only have the Italian style in the freezer so I will give you the info from that package but I don't know if the info is the same for all of their sausage. Calories per serving 110, calories from fat 50, total fat 6g, sat fat 1.5 g cholesterol 60 mg, sodium 400mg, total carb 1g, sugars 0g, protein 13g. According to the package a serving is one sausage. Hope this helps

About Me
I am semi retired. My husband and I both retired at the same time and moved to Brookings to be near the ocean and my sil. I couldn't stand the thought of staying home and cleaning house all day so I got a part time job. I now work 3-4 days a week and it keeps me busy.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook all kinds of things. I try out new recipes all the time and I even cook lots of things that I don't personally like, for instance I do not like sweets but I bake cakes, cookies and breads for my friends and neighbors. My favorite family cooking traditions
I always make beef wellington for Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
Winning the Best in show and the Judges choice ribbons along with 11 other blue ribbons at the 2006 Curry County Fair. They were for canning. My pickle relish won Judges choice and my pineapple marmalade won best in show.
My cooking tragedies
Too numerous to list here in only 1000 characters. But one is when my husband and I were first together, I stayed home from work to cook his favorite meal (spaghetti and meatballs). I had just tried to open a can of tomato sauce when the can exploded and I was covered with it. He came home at just that minute and he about burst an artery from laughing.
