We Are The Super Bowl Winners

As part of our AllRecipes Allstar program, a bonus task for this month is to make 3 faceless recipes and photograph them.   As my BIL and SIL were coming over and a friend from California was coming up, that this would be a perfect time to do a Faceless Super Bowl buffet.  So Saturday, I scoured AR to find the perfect recipes.  I knew that I had to do chicken wings so looked for them first.  This is the recipe that I came up with.

These were very good.  I did change it up a little however, only slightly.  I used Frank's Red Hot Thick Sauce rather than the regular thin sauce and found that with using that one I did not need to use the butter.  Everyone raved about them.  Perfect amount of heat.

My next recipe was a tough one for me to make as I cannot handle eating savory and fruity together,, but I had one lonely avocado sitting in the fruit bowl alongside a juicy fresh pineapple that I had just picked up.  I got lucky and spotted a recipe for Tropiguac.  Here it is

Needless to say I just could not take a bite so had to rely on the comments of my hubby and our guests.  They absolutely loved it.  Here is the link
Onto my next faceless recipe.  Southwest Baked Chili Dip.  This is a super dip.  When I asked for ratings on this dish everyone gave it a 5 including me.  My SIL gave it 167 stars.   What more can I say.  Here it is

My final faceless recipe was also given 5 stars by everyone.  It is this one.

I can honestly say that we were the winners at this Super Bowl.  Thanks to all the awesome cooks/members of AllRecipes that love to share their special meals with us all.  Great job everyone.
Thank you

the picture looks good. It seems like you made a sauce in the cup in the center of the plate, but I see no place in the recipe for this sauce, or the celery. so what was it?

Hi King Sparta, I used a blue cheese dressing for the dip and I put in some celery sticks as in the original buffalo hot wings recipe. Thanks for reading my blog

pelicangal Ok I do something similar, I use crumbled blue cheese and mix it into ranch dressing. I sometimes mix the butter and hot sauce into the ranch dressing and just cover the wings that way. thanks for explaining what the sauce was.

About Me
I am semi retired. My husband and I both retired at the same time and moved to Brookings to be near the ocean and my sil. I couldn't stand the thought of staying home and cleaning house all day so I got a part time job. I now work 3-4 days a week and it keeps me busy.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook all kinds of things. I try out new recipes all the time and I even cook lots of things that I don't personally like, for instance I do not like sweets but I bake cakes, cookies and breads for my friends and neighbors. I am an Allrecipes Allstar Brand Ambassador(a voluntary position) and I’m not compensated for my work with Allrecipes.com. My favorite family cooking traditions
I always make beef wellington for Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
Winning the Best in show and the Judges choice ribbons along with 11 other blue ribbons at the 2006 Curry County Fair. They were for canning. My pickle relish won Judges choice and my pineapple marmalade won best in show.
My cooking tragedies
Too numerous to list here in only 1000 characters. But one is when my husband and I were first together, I stayed home from work to cook his favorite meal (spaghetti and meatballs). I had just tried to open a can of tomato sauce when the can exploded and I was covered with it. He came home at just that minute and he about burst an artery from laughing.
