Not a huge fan of pumpkin seeds, but I also don't believe in ever throwing anything away! I have to say.. these are the exception to the rules! Really tasty! I used 5 TBSP. of sugar, and its great tasting!

Fluffy Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
Incredible!! I followed others advice, and used half butter, half shortening. I also used buttermilk instead of reg. milk. Instead of dirtying up another dish to whisk the egg and milk together (to add to the dry mix), I just slapped it in the middle, took a fork, and mix the wet ingredients, then just sort of mix it all together! My Hubby and Kids ate them up, with soup, but this would be a wonderful addition to biscuits and gravy as well.

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2010
amazingly easy... amazingly versatile, this bread taste great with all, or none of the trimmings! Mine has two cups whole wheat flour, half butter/half unsweetened applesauce in batter, a bit of honey added to the buttermilk/butter topping. After twenty minutes, I drizzled a bit more of the topping, and it tastes delish!! Oh... and I like mine warm, with apricot preserves... Yum!!!! :)

Overnight Cinnamon Rolls I

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
As the Mommy/cook in the family I am always trying to make something that everyone will enjoy, even if it means cutting out some of the fat (without telling anyone)! In this recipe, I halved the amount of butter, and added an equal amount (as to equal 1/3 cup altogether) of unsweetened applesauce. I have made cinn rolls for years, and this did not alter the taste whatsoever! Plus, I did not have any light corn syrup, so I used dark, and the glaze on the top was still white, and tasted the same! This is a great alternative to baking cinnamon rolls the night before. I love the idea of having warm right out of the oven without having to get up at 4 a.m. to make them!! Thanks for sharing!! :)

Golden Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
This is a great recipe, that I have been making for the last two years. As other bakers have suggested, I have decreased the baking time on this recipe. I baked my crescents at 350 for 12 minutes, and have found that they still are more brown on the bottom, than top, but at least they are not burnt (like the last two times I have attempted THIS recipe). I gave this five stars, first of all because even though I burnt them the last two times I have made them, everyone still ate them, (they just peeled off the bottoms) and still said they were delicious!! Thank you Mike A. for sharing these!!!

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
Okay... maybe I'm missing it, but no where did I read that you were supposed to add the oreo filling back into the mix with the cream cheese. I'm sure you can all see where this is going, but I'll say it anyway. Yes... I did forget it!! Also, just so you know... it did taste gross, but what a recipe!! I had already coated the candies in chocolate, and knew they weren't going to be any good, so I just threw them back in the mixer, and added the cookie filling back into the mix. It turned out (even though I had coated it with chocolate)!! I will make this again, and next time it will be done correctly!! :)

Hot Bacon Cheese Spread

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
So delicious!! This dish was gone in less than five minutes at my Thanksgiving get-together! For Christmas I have doubled it!! The only thing not mentioned that I would definitely do in this recipe is, before you stick the bread/dip combo in the oven, make sure you cover with foil!! Otherwise the bread gets too crusty and is hard to eat!! Ohhhhh Soooo Goooood!!!!! :)

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
I just made this cake again, and instead of using chocolate cake, I used a box of yellow cake mix. Also, because the cake is so rich, I cut down the amount of condensed milk, and caramel to half of what the recipe asks for. Also, I mixed the condensed milk, and caramel together in a saucepan, heated up for two seconds, and drizzled over the top of the cake. Also, this cake really tastes so much better, when it is cold!!
