Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2015
This recipe is great! I skipped the step of browning the beef because I often throw things in the crock pot right before I leave for work and who wants to brown meet at 7am? Still, the meat comes out nice and tender. I also added a cubed a potato and some extra water because I like my soup more brothy. I will be making this again!

Scott's Buffalo Wing Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2013
I agree with other reviewers that the butter is not needed in this sauce. It has great flavor and slight sweetness to it which is perfect for me because i dont like too much spiciness. Add more hot sauce for more spice.

Stuffed Zucchini with Chicken Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
I absolutely love this recipe. Great by itself or served with a side of pasta. As others have written, the filling makes more than can fit in 2 zuccini, probably closer to 4. Next time I'm going to try to use the stuffing in peppers!

Waistline-Friendly Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2011
I absolutely loved this recipe! So simple to make and such a great meal for a cold night. As other said, it was pretty spicy. I don't like too much heat so I cut the crushed red pepper and chilies in half, and it was still too spicy for me! Next time I might cut the red pepper out all together. Also I might try cutting the BBQ sauce in half next time to reduce the sodium, and try getting reduced sodium beans. The BBQ sauce adds great flavor but I'm not sure a whole cup is necessary. It is low calorie but very high in salt! I think I might even try adding other vegetable like zuccini and spinach. Thanks for this great recipe!

Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
Very easy to make and delicious! I love this recipe because it doesn't have a ton of ingredients and it's a crowd pleaser! I use a little more oregano and pepper to make it more flavorful. Perfect over rice or pasta, whatever you prefer.

Gingerbread Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
This was the first time I made gingerbread cookies and this recipe was very easy. It definitely needed more flour (at least another cup) and more spices. The cookies came out pretty good but too bland for my taste. I am going to double the spices like someone else suggested the next time i make them. Overall, great recipe!

Halloween Brain Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
I made this for my Halloween party this year and it was a big hit! I didn't think people would understand that it is supposed to be a brain but they totally got it! I bought pre made guacamole to make it even easier. If you're careful with the cauliflower it won't fall apart. And a little bit of water on you're fingers helps the fruit veins stick when you're putting them on. LOVED IT!!
