Applesauce Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2008
I absolutely loved this recipe, and my picky husband did too, I did alter the recipie, by using whole wheat flour, and 1/3 cup honey instead of the sugar along with adding extra cinnamon, some nutmeg, and vanilla. If you are looking for a very sweet cookie try using the full 2/3 c honey as honey is sweeter that the sugar. Or as a fun treat cut up apple chunks and mix in to the batter also!!

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
Very delicious! Both of my picky eaters loved this! I substituted one of the diced tomatoes for chili ready tomatoes, and used a 15 oz. can of tomato sauce. Also instead of cooking the hamburger prior I just put it in the crock and turned it on high for a couple hours before turning it to low. The only problem with that is the soup is a little greasy.

Absolutely wonderful! Two tips, do NOT use dried rosemary, I did the first time I made this it was not nearly as good. And don't use a garlic press definitely chop the garlic.

Baked Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
Great recipe! They could have been a bit spicier, but that is most likely because of the sauce I used. I also used half butter and half Smart Balance Omega oil to make it healthier. These turned out super crispy and full of flavor!

Cream of Sweet Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2011
I absolutely love this recipe! The only alteration I make is to use yams instead of actual sweet potatoes. (Contrary to popular belief, they ARE different!) Everyone I have made this for loves it, and I'm getting ready to make some right now to have for dinner!

Overnight Caramel Pecan Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
These turned out amazing! I think the only thing I will do differently is not refrigerate the dough overnight. I used spelt four instead of all purpose flour to make them healthier too. Overall the are fantastic and they turned out better than any other recipe I've tried!

Creamy Cucumber Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2012
The only reason this is 4 instead of 5 stars is that it is a bit too runny. I made this tonight and it is AMAZING! I had to leave out the white pepper because I don't have any, but the flavor was fantastic anyway. I also used greek yogurt instead of the more traditional yogurt, which may be why mine was less bland than some of the previous reviews.

Nacho Cheese Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2012
Fantastic! I wanted mine to have a bit of a kick to it, but didn't have any jalapenos so I used cayenne pepper and it was amazing! A keeper for sure!

Peach Cobbler III

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2012
This is a really good basic recipe. I could tell from the beginning that it didn't have enough spices, so I doubled the amount of cinnamon and added some ginger, nutmeg, and cloves. It turned out fantastic, and is quite possibly my husbands new favorite desert.

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
I have been making bread (or attempting to) for well over 10 years now. This is by far the best recipe I have ever used! I used all spelt flour and followed the rest to the letter and it turned out amazing. Between me and my 3 and 6 year old we devoured all three loaves in about 4 days! Just got done making it a second time and it turned out just as amazing.

Eggnog Latte

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
This is essentially what I have been making the last few days without even seeing this. Personally I prefer all eggnog, and topping it with pumpkin pie spice, but either way it is AMAZING. I'm about to head to the store for more eggnog now! =)

Sylvia's Easy Greek Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2013
Amazing! The only thing I changed was using red wine vinegar and did about 1/2 and 1/2 it with the olive oil. I took it to a dinner last night and it was a huge hit!

Creamy Baked Ziti

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2014
It was SO good! I think the only change I would make to this is to make more of it! I think with a recipe like this, the key is the kind of pasta sauce you use. I used some of the Newman's Own marinara sauce, but I think Prego would work well also. I also may try using diced tomatoes that have some spices or garlic in them. (just to mix it up a bit.)

All Day Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2014
Fabulous recipe! The only change I made was to put the noodles in raw as others suggested and it disappeared. This is going to become a staple in our house. It's the perfect recipe for the "comfort food" mac and cheese. Never buying the boxed stuff again!

Gourmet Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2014
This is an amazing recipe! Even my picky husband and kids love it. I can't seem to find the cucumber dressing in stores, so I make my own from a recipe I found here on the site. I usually just leave out the oranges and just add extra grapes. =)
