12/10.. Increase flour to 1/3 cup,add some paprika too,used 3 lbs beef. Put flour mixture into bag. Shake beef in bag to coat. Sauté coated beef in 2 tablespoons olive oil and a little butter until browned. Near the end Add chopped onion to beef to sauté and soften. Transfer to slow cooker or tupperware. Mix beef broth with 1 TABLEspoon Worcestershire and ½ cup red wine. Pour into hot skillet to deglaze, then pour over beef and onions in cooker.Add remaining ingredients with these additions: increase garlic to 2 cloves minced, 2 bay leaves; add 1 packet McCormick's Beef Stew Seasoning. I did it on a friday(except veg), put in fridge until sat. am(add veg and a can of tom. soup)...very tender. 30 min high and then 6 hrs. low, i added mushrooms in last hour and needed to turn the hear up to high.
