The weather is slowly changing to the crispness of fall. I can hardly wait to start baking. So many fruits and vegetables are available for new and delicious trial recipes.
I live in apple country-upstate New York. Apple picking at local orchards is quite the treat. Many orchards make the whole weekend an adventure. Corn mazes, apple picking, face painting, pumpkin carving contests, and even a "cannon" that shoots squash up to
a mile away.
This is the first year our outdoor farmer's market is going indoors at a local church during the winter. I am very excited about what will be available later in the season.
One local apple grower has bags of apple "seconds" for a very cheap price. My family goes through apples like they were candy.
If anyone has recipe ideas for me (apples, pumpkins, zucchini) send them along. I will post any recipes that strike my fancy.
Finally, how do you like the new AR feature of saving sites to your recipe box? Very cool, I have started all ready.
