Labor Day Weekend-end of the summer or start of autumn?

This summer went so fast. I can hardly believe it is now September and the start of school! I am trying to get back on the wagon with my diet-no it is my special eating plan. Diet seems to bring about bad reactions from everyone.  I really hate baking during the summer because of the heat and I am not in the mood. But now that autumn is just around the corner, I can't wait to get the oven going with all sorts of new and old recipes.

I am glad I signed up for the baking newsletter from AR. But then again I am signed up for almost all of the newsletters from AR. Healthy Bites is so informative. Thanks AR for putting together great ideas.

We have two more camping trips planned and then the trailer goes into storage until next spring. I am definetly not a winter camper. We are going to Massechusetts in a week and a half, then my husband was to plan for the last hurrah over Columbus holiday. Who knows where he wants to end up. I purchased a small crock pot for the trailer and it works great. Cooked BBQ ribs, and beef stew so far. Great addition!

I am always looking for easy recipes for camping. So any recommendations from anyone would be appreciated.

Apples are starting to be harveted here. I can hardly wait to bake apple pies, apple crisp, apple cake! YUM!

it is sad to see summer go, kids back in school, but I can't wait for those fall colours to start, pumkins in the oven and the smell of baked apples. Not sure if you know about the exchange or not but up at the top, there is a tab Recipe Exchange-if you click on that it takes you to a whole other universe on AR. Many members there to help and give recipes, advice, and a pick me up on a bad day. Find the tab request a recipe and ask for some recipes of your liking, hope to see you over there:)

Mmmm... my favorite camping food is chili cooked in one dutch oven and in the other, a load of damper bread. Oh and lots of alcohol. LOL

I hate to see summer go. It means the end to all those OUTSIDE activites we just can't do any other time of year. But, if it has to go, well then, come on Fall. I love Fall the bestest! The harvest of my garden and yes, absolutely those apples. We make apple sauce, apple butter, and anything baked with apples in it. I drug out my little Scentsy Pot today and put the Hot Apple Butter wax in it. Yum!!!

The initiative taken for the concern is very serious and need an attention of every one. This is the concern which exists in the society and needs to be eliminated from the society as soon as possible. -------- Camper Trailers For Sale

About Me
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake, especially during the fall and winter when it is cool outside. I am always looking for scone recipes. I live in apple country so I also like apple recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My son, who loves to cook, and I like to cook Thanksgiving Dinner together. My son is always trying to invent something wild and crazy. His recipes are usually pretty tasty.
My cooking triumphs
Two of my recipes seem to be in demand where ever I take them. Corn Casserole and Sour Cream Apple Pie.
My cooking tragedies
Well, this may or may not be such a tragedy. I use to use Pillsbury pie crust dough for all my pies. . I know very lazy of me. However, in the last six months I have been very disappointed in the Pillsbury pie dough. I haven't been able to unroll it and end up re-rolling it. Doesn't save me any time, so I am back to making my own pie dough, using canola oil instead of Crisco. I am glad I switched.
