The wonders of recipes

Not sure if this is a slip up or not, but it sure was tasty!

My family had a very unusual Easter meal. It was a late afternoon meal and each one of us contributed a recipe. My contribution was Deviled Eggs and White Chocolate Fruit Tart (found on AR). My daughter made her first loaf of bread, which was a little dense and quite flat, but flavor was okay. I guess I will have to give her some lessons in the fine art of bread making. My husband contributed Eggplant Parmesean and last but not least, my son made a crustless quiche.

The meal was quite successful. The kitchen was busy with the hussle and bussle of four people cooking. We had fun preparing and eating. I think this is going to b a monthly event. MMM! What could be our next holiday to try??

Eggplant Parm is my alltime favorite! I have to chuckle because I was in Kingston Shoprite on Monday and saw a woman that resembles your pics. I almost said Hello but wasn't 100% sure if it was indeed you and I didn't want to appear like a stalker! LOL!

About Me
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake, especially during the fall and winter when it is cool outside. I am always looking for scone recipes. I live in apple country so I also like apple recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My son, who loves to cook, and I like to cook Thanksgiving Dinner together. My son is always trying to invent something wild and crazy. His recipes are usually pretty tasty.
My cooking triumphs
Two of my recipes seem to be in demand where ever I take them. Corn Casserole and Sour Cream Apple Pie.
My cooking tragedies
Well, this may or may not be such a tragedy. I use to use Pillsbury pie crust dough for all my pies. . I know very lazy of me. However, in the last six months I have been very disappointed in the Pillsbury pie dough. I haven't been able to unroll it and end up re-rolling it. Doesn't save me any time, so I am back to making my own pie dough, using canola oil instead of Crisco. I am glad I switched.
