Very Sluggish

I have found during this part of the year, just before spring, that I am very sluggish. It is like I don't want to do anything. I do not want to back slide because I have lost 25 pounds so far and people are commenting on how good I look. I have to come up with some kicks in the butt to get me motivated again. We got a Wii game for Christmas and I absolutely love it. I have asked for Wii Fit for my birthday, March 5. I have also weeded out cookbooks, and recipes I have never used. Getting back on track with health.

I feel the same way this time of year, too....although this year is a little better because being in an RV, I have no choice but to go outside at least a couple of times a day, no matter what the weather's like, to take the dogs out! I have noticed that my sluggishness is greatly reduced if I just go outside!

Hi. I've been thinking about getting a new piece of exercise equipment called, "Leg Magic". I try to get on the treadmill at least a few times of week but that can get boring very quickly so I don't stay on it as long as I should. In terms of food, too many carbs are a killer for me. They not only cause weight gain, they also make me feel hung-over (sluggish as you say) and lead to migraines which definitely slow me down to zero. Upping the protein, lowering the carbs helps me a lot.

About Me
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake, especially during the fall and winter when it is cool outside. I am always looking for scone recipes. I live in apple country so I also like apple recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My son, who loves to cook, and I like to cook Thanksgiving Dinner together. My son is always trying to invent something wild and crazy. His recipes are usually pretty tasty.
My cooking triumphs
Two of my recipes seem to be in demand where ever I take them. Corn Casserole and Sour Cream Apple Pie.
My cooking tragedies
Well, this may or may not be such a tragedy. I use to use Pillsbury pie crust dough for all my pies. . I know very lazy of me. However, in the last six months I have been very disappointed in the Pillsbury pie dough. I haven't been able to unroll it and end up re-rolling it. Doesn't save me any time, so I am back to making my own pie dough, using canola oil instead of Crisco. I am glad I switched.
