About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
My all-time favourite dish is baked salmon!
My cooking tragedies
Sadly, I have yet to master baking goodies (probably because I try changing the recipes to make them healthier!)

Potato Leek Soup III
So good! I made without the salt (since my butter and chicken stock were salted), no cornstarch, and used 2% condensed milk in place of cream. As per some other reviewers, I also added a little pizzazz: + dash of hot sauce, 1 clove chopped garlic, 1/2 tsp thyme, and pureed the soup once done. Also made a topping of: tomato sauce, roasted peppers, sundried tomato - pureed together, added on the finished soup as a decorative, tasty swirl on top, along with a bit of crumbled bacon. YUMMY!!

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie
Yum! I didn't use as much sugar as called for, and also added about 1 tsp of turmeric to the filling. It was delicious! I also added lemon juice to the meringue, which added a nice extra lemony touch!

Fresh Cherry Cobbler
I'm not sure what I did wrong but mine was SWIMMING in butter (like biting into bread that had been soaked in warm butter through and through). The batter wasn't enough to fill the pan, and ended up like a butter-sogged fried sweet bread that was hard and crispy on the edges because of all the butter. Maybe 1/2 the butter and a smaller pan would fix this? Once my arterties clear out I may try some of the other reviewers' suggestions... but then again, cherries are an expensive fruit to test recipes one...
