About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Chili, Chicken Paprikas, Baked Pork Chops
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't really have any cooking traditions except for New Years Day dinner. The classic Pork and Sauerkraut is always good for that day.
My cooking triumphs
My chili is pretty awesome. (not bragging) My family loves it.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I made Chicken Paprikas, I didn't put the pan drippings in after browning the chicken. It still came out ok, but it was kind of bland. We still ate it especially with the homemade Spaetzel.

Cedar Planked Salmon
I made this last night and it was the best Salmon I have ever had. Even my wife who is NOT a fish person really enjoyed it. Had a side of roasted thyme cauliflower with and was in heaven. Thanks a bunch.

Traditional Gyro Meat
My wife and I have been craving gyros lately and have been thinking about how good the ones we used to get at The International Festival held in Lorain, Ohio(my hometown) every year. So when I came across this recipe I knew I had to try it. Came out just like the festival. The only thing I did different was to up the salt to 2 tsp and since I don't have a food processor, I mixed all ingredients and passed them thru my meat grinder 3 times on the fine blade. Very tasty. Neighbors even came over and ate with us because they smelled the potatoes I had cooking on the grill. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Herbed Greek Roasted Potatoes with Feta Cheese
I have got to say these were soooooo good. I marinated the potatoes in everything before putting in a casserole dish and put on the grill at 375deg for about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. Neighbors behind us came home and could immediately smell the garlic and lemon and invited themselves over for Gyros and these potatoes.....lmao. Great recipe. Thanks for sharing.
