There was nothing special about this biscotti at all. I found these bland- I used almond & vanilla extract. Butter adds flavor and crisp that oil just can replace. NO PROBS with the dough though. I fold in my flour & I actually ended up with too much flour. These also broke when I cut them- too cakey. I made these for my 1 yr old, so they will do. But for myself I would not make these.

Chocolate Oil Cake
This recipe isn't bad. Pretty good and easy to make- But definitely TASTES oily. It leaves a weighty feeling in your tummy. Mine wouldn't cook well either. It's a bit too gooey and I thought the oil could be reduced. Beyond the cooking oil- the chocolate flavor was nice.

Applesauce Oatmeal Cookies
This a pretty good recipe with a little modificattion. You DEFINITELY need to add a bit more flavor- 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tspn salt, 2 tspns of cinnamon and I added a pinch of nutmeg(1/4 tspn)and some raisins. They turned out tasty and wholesome. I also substituted a bit of the butter for plain yogurt to reduce the fat further and used 1/2 whole wheat flour. I think if you want to you could even reduce the sugar just a little too. Good recipe as healthy alternative without losing flavor (if you remember these modifications above :)
