Soft Christmas Cookies

very tasty but also very difficult! the dough is so tender that I could hardly get it out of the cookie cutters and still recognize the shape. but...... they were quite tasty!

Slow Cooker Lentils and Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
pretty good... not great. I guess I just don't like lentils all that much. I added some tomato soup to take the edge off the earthy tones from the lentils. might try again..... not my favorite.

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
YummyYummyYummy! this is a keeper. We made the adjustments as per other reviews and it came out great. will add 1 extra egg yolk and up the cornstarch to 1/2 cup next time as another person suggested, we too prefer a thick custard to a looser one. great job Carol H.

Warm Mexican Corn Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
really tasty! I only give it 4 stars because I modified it a bit. I used frozen mexican corn with blackbeans and added a little chili seasoning. It was aweswome! I did have to heat it longer and hotter than the recipe called for but it all came together in the end. a definite keeper!

it's o.k. not a knock your socks off like some of the other reviews implied. not a keeper for me. my hubby gets an elk almost every year and I've still not found any better way to cook it than in chili! sorry, nice try

Super-Simple Bacon, Spinach, and Artichoke Dip

Really good! the only thing I will do different is to add garlic and salt next tim. All of my guests agreed that it was delicious but could use more seasoning. Overall it eas a hit.

Fresh Pumpkin Pie

LIght and refreshing. I give this a 4 because of the spices. I personally like a little more traditional taste. However, this is a very nice spin on an old favorite!

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
you can't go wrong with a classic! I grew up having dill pickle and mayo in with my cheese and still having it fried with butter! It was on whole wheat granola bread so that must make it "Healthy". I like to make mine with pepperjack cheese! Ole!
