Jennie's Heavenly Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2013
My family loved this! I loved how easy it was. Only change I made was I cut the chicken into bite sized pieces. I served it over brown rice. Good comfort food. Thanks for the recipe.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
Love this recipe! I have made it many times and it always gets raves. Made a huge batch of it for a post trick-or-treating get together and it really hit the spot. It's perfect as is, only thing I do differently is cut the chicken into bite size pieces so I don't have to shred it later. Thanks for this family favorite!

Golden Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2012
My family loved this! I have to admit, at first I was a little skeptical about the apricot jelly and chicken soup, but it was so good! I always say it, but I hate changing a recipe before trying it, but I did. I added red peppers and sugar snap peas. I think a number of different veggies could be added if you wanted to, but it certainly would be great without them! Thanks for the great recipe!

Taco Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2012
My kids loved this! I doubled it and still didn't have enough! I put out lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, extra salsa and sour cream for the kids to put on top if they wanted. I may try it as a "lasagna" next time, just to save myself time. Thanks for the great recipe, the kids told me to not forget this one!

Cheesy Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2011
My family loved this! And it was fairly easy to make! I try to follow the recipe to a T at least the first time I make it, and the changes I made, I don't think were changed the integrity of the dish. I used bow tie pasta instead of shells. And I doubled the recipe so I used an orange pepper and a yellow pepper. I also cut up the tomatoes because the whole tomatoes wouldn't fly with some of my kids. It was great, and I will be making again. Thanks for the recipe.

Cheese and Broccoli Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
I am giving this 5 stars based on the original recipe. My family loved it. I have made it multiple times and have added a few things. I have added carrots and cauliflower, my kids love this, so why not add extra veggies?! I also have used broth instead of water and bouillon. The only other major change I make is I don't add the cheese to the pot. I can never get it to melt smoothly, so each person adds the cheese to their bowl. I find this gives me a better consistency. As I said, made it as written, loved it, that is what my rating is based on. Thanks for the recipe.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
My kids loved this! I made it on Thursday and it's Sunday and they are bugging me to make it again! I REALLY HATE to change a recipe before I make it at least once, but I did add a bag of frozen mixed veggies. I couldn't resist, it just seemed like an easy way to make this a one dish meal! Thanks for the great recipe, it will be made here again!

Sausage, Peppers, Onions, and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2010
Great recipe!! My family loved this! I didn't change anything except sprinkled a little parmesan cheese in each bowl as I was serving it. The only changes I would make the next time, and there will be a next time, is cut the sausage a little smaller and possibly add a little more wine and broth just because I really enjoyed the taste of the sauce. Thanks for the great recipe, I have already had somebody ask for the recipe!!

Grandma's Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
We enjoyed this soup a lot. I did make a few little changes, I used broth instead of water and I added more bacon. (What isn't better with more bacon!) I also made the soup, except half and half, early in the day and let it finish cooking in the crock pot. This just made my day easier. My kids and my husband really loved it. Thanks for the great recipe.

Pumpkin Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
This was good, and it was quick and easy to make. My family didn't notice the pumpkin, although it really thickened the chili. I used tomatoes with green chilies in it and added cumin. I also added beans, so I did change it a little. We enjoyed it, and I will make it again. Thanks for the recipe.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
A friend gave me this recipe a couple years ago and it is always a huge hit at parties! It is so easy and I have never had left overs! I have used the canned chicken, which is great for last minute guests, and I have used boneless, skinless chicken breasts. I usually just boil the chicken and shred it. I'm always tempted to use blue cheese, but almost hate to mess with something everyone loves! Maybe next time. I serve it with tortilla chips and right out of the crock pot. Great recipe!

Mushroom Round Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
Loved how this turned out! I have to say that I changed a few things because of what I had in the house. I really hate changing things before I have tried it once, but I wanted to try it so I improvised. I didn't have the french onion soup so I used a can of beef gravy and sauteed some onions. I'm so sure of how "true" a replacement that was, but it tasted great. I also didn't have to use the cornstarch because it was very thick without it. I also didn't use the sour cream, again because I didn't have any. But it was really good and everyone loved it. I served over egg noodles. We will be having this again! Thanks for the great recipe!

We really enjoyed this recipe! The chicken was moist and the skin was really flavorful and crispy. It smelled so good while it was cooking on the grill and couple of neighbors came over to see what I was cooking! Thanks for the great recipe, it really is a keeper!

Home-Style Vegetable Beef Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
I am making this for the 2nd time tonight. It was really good. I have to admit I did make some changes, I don't like to do that the first time I try something, but I know my family and what will work. I cut the tomato juice with some beef broth and added some ground pork. We enjoyed it and obviously will make it again!! Thanks for the great recipe.

Laura's Unbelievable Chicken and Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
My family enjoyed this recipe. I did use canned seasoned tomatoes, but other than that I followed the recipe as is. I thought it could use a little flavor punch, but I'm not exactly sure what to try. I might use flavored cream cheese next time. It is a great way to get the kids to eat spinach and a great way to use up leftover chicken. I will make again, it is nice comfort food. Thanks for the recipe.
