About this Cook
I am a mother of one son, Xzavier, and recently moved to Utah.
My favorite things to cook
Fresh veggies and fruits, very good with griling burgers as long as i dont eat before they are all off.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When i was younger, my father used to wake up early (really later than during the week, but earlier than my sister & me) on Saturdays to make the family a hot breakfast. It would be pancakes, waffles, or french toast from scratch & was always delicious.
My cooking triumphs
I can finally make chocolate chip cookies that are soft but dont melt into chocolate-caramel.
My cooking tragedies
One time that I grilled burgers, I sat down to eat one and forgot about the rest still on the grill. When i finally remembered, the flames were 2 feet above the grill and i had to hose them down.

Sauteed Mushrooms in Garlic
I used chicken broth instead of wine and ended up with ALOT of liquid left but this was still so good I was eating it out of the pan.

Easy No-Boil Macaroni and Cheese
I'm not sure if I did something, but I ended up with a belly ache & drank ginger ale all night.

Banana Banana Bread
I started to make this one day & realized that I didn't have enough bananas to make 1 batch let alone the 2 batches I was doing - it was STILL great. I added in 1/4 cup sugar to the double batch & it made the crust crispy until the next day.
