Best Fried Green Tomatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
These were great! I made some changes based on suggestions: added italian bread crumbs instead of plain, a little bit of flour to cornmeal mixture, as well as cajun and adobo seasoning and less coarse ground salt (to balance). I also let them stand in the crumb mixture while cooking the others which covered them with extra breading(extra crispy) Served them with a mayonaise, dill weed, lime juice dip inspired by a friend's visit to a southern food restaurant. They were delicious! Note: look for these tomatoes in farmers markets... didnt see them anywhere else.

Korean Egg Roll Triangles

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2010
These were pretty good when paired with sauce. (i used a gyoza dipping sauce from this site) The zucchini makes them nice and moist on the inside and the tofu and egg help keep it together. The only thing i would do differently is pulse the rice noodles in a food processor a few times to get smaller pieces so that you dont get a long noodle piece in the middle of the roll.

Red Skinned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
Absolutely amazing! Crispy bacon is essential! SOOO good! You have to try it. I tried it as is and it was great(minus the celery b/c im not a huge fan) i tried it again with chopped dill pickles, a little sugar, a little evaporated milk and a spoonful of mustard...it made it nice and moist without watering it down. Amazing!

The green onion really made these taste great. I paired them with the japanese pot sticker dip recipe on this website and they worked very well together.

Japanese Potsticker Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
This was pretty good. It tasted like the packets of sauce that come with the frozen potstickers i buy from the supermarket. The only change i would make is to use low sodium soy sauce because it was a bit too salty for my personal taste. I might also try adding ginger next time like some have suggested. Other than that, great dip. Thanx for the recipe!!
