Grandma's Doughnuts

My mother showed me how to make these when I was a little girl....she would make a glaze of confectioners sugar and evap. milk...really good hot and with a cold glass of milk! note...even the cheapest brand of canned biscuits will work....I don't cut holes..I just pull a hole in the middle by stretching the dough a little..maybe not as pretty but still looks like a doughnut!

Peanut Butter Pie VIII

This was a great peanut butter pie! Very rich... I wasn't crazy about my store bought crust though. It would have been even better with a better crust.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake II

I live down in south Florida and we have alot of mangos. I used mangos instead of pineapple and it made a very pretty cake Great with coffee!

Black Magic Cake

This has got to be my favorite chocolate cake! It's like a very rich devil's food cake. I made a 7 minute frosting and it was delicious! Very rich & moist! Definately a hit!

Favorite Fish Chowder

My husband loved this. I added a little bell pepper,celery,spicy seasoning and garnished with chives. There was plenty of juice for us without adding extra. I'll definatley make this one again!

Easy Cajun Jambalaya

This was so good!!! I did add about 2 more cups of chicken stock and some okra and shrimp towards the end.It made a huge pot full,and was great heated up the next day!

Baked Chicken on the Grill

This was good, but I think I could have had the same results using the oven. Was surprised how golden it looked. I guess it would keep your from heating up your kitchen in the summer!

Kathy's Roast and Vegetables

This is how my grandmother taught me how to make a good roast. She always said that the browning seals in the juices and makes for a very juicy and tender roast. Sooo good! I use golden mushroom soup. Seems to make it a little more richer and gives it a golden color! Love this one!

These were very good, just a little sweet and not greasy. I did add a little milk, just enough to make a nice batter. Next time, I may add a few jalapenos just for an added kick.

Cinnamon Pie

This pie was very easy to make. Yes, after I took it out of the oven, it did take a little while to "set". It was like a custard. Was very good with coffee ice cream! I'll definately make this again!
